    Nudibranch vs Apitasia

I had never heard that it was bad to remove them the way I do. LFS does it this way, and Ive seen literally dozens of posts regarding this subject that use the same methods. I have never heard of bad results this way, yet i have seen dozens of posts saying the worst way is to buy a creature to...

    clown rejects anemone

Also, I have read that a mated pair of clowns are sometimes less likely to take to an anemone, and I have witnessed this in my tank so far. 2 false percs that are mated in my tank will not go into either of my anemones. Its been a couple of months. Maybe they dont feel they need the protection...

    Nudibranch vs Apitasia

Im sure others will chime in, but buying a creature to eliminate something like aptasia is only going to cause you more problems in the future. Once the aptasia is gone (if they even eat it?) it will starve....i dont have any personal experience, but have read that they die easily this way, and...

precipitation event in my replacement water

Hey Bang, believe me, Im not one to follow blindly, except in the fact that everything you have told me to date is correct, and other posts I have read by you solidify that fact. Im sure ya make mistakes sometimes I did check the ph yesterday...whew....was like 7.4 so I didnt even bother with...

precipitation event in my replacement water

the foolish thing, is I knew this already-to add to tank only-since you told me that a couple of weeks ago, and I even POSTED to someone else this fact when a question was raised about adding to tank or mixing water! Im a better coach sometimes than player  Problem was, in my head...

precipitation event in my replacement water

    Feeding coral banded shrimp....

I do spot feed mine every once in a while, not as much as I used to. Seems he/she always gets some food to munch on during feeding anyway. The only warning I have heard/read from informational websites (if you read about them on this site for example in the description) is that if you have an...

    daphnia frozen foods

Good afternoon! Anyone have any experience with this frozen food? I got some clove polyps and while I was there, lfs reccomended it as a great food for eveything anyway. I used it twice now and it really seems to get into everything. Also...am I overfeeding? Here is whatI am feeding once a day...

BIO load too much for 100g?

The only note I have is that your carbon is in there for too long. By 3 weeks or so, usually the carbon is used up, with a more likely scenario of your bioload used up in 2 weeks or so.

    phosphates levels

Reef, Thanks! Awesome post, though it took me 3 reads to understand it lol The water i use for my tank is originally from a well. It is run through a 1 micron floss and carbon home system, through a water softener, then through a countertop unit: cyclonic ozone, High intensity UV light, .05...

    phosphates levels

Bang....thanks for the reply again After discussion here, and on another board, and my lfs which has had advice similar to the better reefkeepers on this site like you-and unlike PLB who you may know? lol- I decided to purchase (and did during lunch) kents phosphate sponge.
