    Best Type Of Sand For Dsb

    There is a certain type of sand that works GREAT for DSB's. Its called Downsouth Play sand and if you have a home Depot you can go there and get it for like $6.99 for a 50pound bag. I got 450 pounds for my 220 and sump! here's a link: Southdown Play Sand

    location of 3rd powerhead in a 90 gallon

    For great water movement one thing you may want to think about is placing the other two power heads on each side of the tank one on the left and the other on the right(Facing Each Other) and then placing that 3rd powerhead on the back wall of your tank!

    Ross, What other tank mates would be involved in that tank with the Regal? Anything that would get bigger that 5-6 inches would be pushing the amount of fish that you would be able to put in there! But a regal tang should be ok for that size of a tank!

    RO Systems?

    I have a 220gal tank FOWLR, DSB and want to know if a RO System will be needed for me at all. What i do know is just let the water sit out for 24-48 hours and then use the water.Would a RO Unit be useful for me at all?

    220 Stock Up

    Right away! I mean just remember to stay calm and take your time. The time for the DSB to completely mature "Don't quote me on this" takes about truely 2-3weeks to completly cycle! Ask your LFS to confirm!
