most importantly i check live stock and look for anything that looks off daily. clean class every 3 or 4 days. fill top off kalk (5gallon bucket) every 2 to 3 days depending on evaporation.blow rock's off to get sediment in water colum weekly. clean skimmer every 2 weeks while doing water...

i found alot of people who have it, but not alot are willing to cut it up. i found a local who took down his system and traded/sold everthing. broke up colonys from hard to get acro's and multi colored monti's.

it's amazing that some would pay 100 to 300 for a frag.

you get the reflection by turning off all circulation in the tank. alittle water movement on the surface distorts the image. i was going to do some top down shots but thats another day.

add kalk to keep up with tank demand. saturated lime water has a ph of 12. i read of others who mix there kalk at ph of 10 becuase there demand was not high(mainly a softy tank)

yes.my friend went the cheap route. first he boiled the rock. when he set up the tank he bought a couple pounds of live rock to seed the rock with bacteria. i will say his tank looked alright but not natural. i can't remember what rock he used but it looks like base rock

what type of filtration do you have? skimmer? turn over? how often water changes and how much? what type of water do you use?
