    Spiny Blue Lobster?

    I just bought a purple lobster from one on my LFS, and it is not shy at all!! He hangs out at the front of his cave and also wanders all over the tank. Hasnt done anything except run my fuzzy dwarf lionfish out of the rockwork.:D

    yes I read that thread and got that impression. I will just have to keep an eye on the fish, which I do anyways (for hours and hours). Thank You for your help also. The pic that you posted was hard to determine, due to the profile shot. but it is gone to septic tank heaven. Joker :D :D

    well thanks to SWF members for the quick replies on newbie board, It was identified as a Cirolanid isopod. Caught the Mandarin in a net and removed the little parasite to an empty bowl to die in MISERY. :D :D :D :D :D Joker

    Just noticed a white spot on my Mandarins back by his dorsal. It is a pod. I remember seeing about a type of pod that fed on the blood of "host" fish. My mandarin is extremely camera shy so I am having a hard time getting a pic. How do I get it off safely or is that necessary??
