U can adjust it for your conditions. U want the foam to be sort of thick. If im moving things around or cleanin my sump filters i have to lower the water level for a while. And since i have added a fuge, the skimmate production is down.

#! They rate on the conservative size. Buy the biggest u can either afford or fit into ur system. #2 EuroReef is top of the line. Dont complain about the $$$. They (ER) just replaced 3 impellars for free on my 4 year old skimmer!
