Sounds good man. The sand bed thing is personal preference as long as you have an adequate amount of rock and it seems like you plan on getting more so it shouldn't matter. Other than that what are your plans for the tank? FOWLR? Or nano reef?

Any updates? I am curious to know if that snail made it. The point meowzer was trying to make is that we know that you can cycle with chromis' and damsels but it is cruel and often times doesn't turn out well for the animal. There are better ways to cycle the tank that will not cost the animals...

Are you running your lights during a cycle? If so that is the cause of your hair algae problem. I would take it out and scrubbed as recommended above. It looks like you are growing it on purpose almost lol.

Pic from today. It looks like the candy cane coral is recovering nicely with the LEDs. It looked really pathetic when I first got it.

I am still sort of undecided about whether to get 1 or 2 clowns but I am limiting myself to 3 fish total.

Going to get my first fish next weekend when I return from Virginia Beach. I know I want to get a True Perc does anyone have any suggestions for a tank mate? I am looking for color more than anything.

I would recommend removing at least two of those fish. It seems like the bio-load may be a little taxing on your system. In other words, the fish are creating more waste than the system can handle at the moment. How much and how often are you feeding? If you are over feeding then that will...

Ok I think you may be right. I am just trying to figure out why the guy bought the corals he did having PC lighting they suck IMO.
