my girlfreind dropped a bottle of windex in my tank

That really does blow and I would be livid but the first thing that occurred to me is windex bottles are sealed and don't leak. Why would dropping one in a tank necessitate an entire water change?

what is it and what eats it

foxface and you will never see it again. I lost every macroalgae I had in 2 days when mine went in.

    reef safe epoxy

I need quite a bit of epoxy putty when I reassemble my 75g so I can use my acrylic rods to form a huge arch. Does anyone have experience with an epoxy from lowes or homedepot that they know is reef safe or maybe the purple marine epoxy from walmart?

    Replacing glass on a tank?

I'm judging the price by 1/4" glass that size being about $100 there by the way. I just doubled the price. Not just shooting in the dark

    Replacing glass on a tank?

I can have a 220 tall tank that has a crack in the front glass. I believe the glass is 1/2" or 5/8" thick. Can the front glass be replaced? If so I wouldn't imagine it would be more than $200 at my glass shop and the tank will be over $1000 to replace. I was just wondering

    265 G dual overflow problem

Or if you have a standpipe in the overflow, the vent hole is either clogged or needs to be modified possibly

    cont. Walmart tank

I can tell you from failed projects, acrylic and glass won't bond. Acrylic must be thicker like the above person said to have same strength and not flex. I just had 1/4" glass panels cut for my 55g sump and 5 baffles was only $22. Way cheaper than acrylic and much nicer. Go with glass.

    experience with this ph setup?

Well I my wife hates how much time I spend feeding, cleaning, building new stuff, I just figured I'd sleep with it too. That should drive it home. And if there's an emergency, I'm right next to it. :) Second, I have a stack of maxi's I have tried to spread throughout my fresh and sw tanks but...

    experience with this ph setup?

Thanks. I like it. I kept going back and trimming excess silicone on the baffles. I'm excited about getting it running again. I already got all the sand, ran it through a caulinder(sp?) to get big particles out and rinsed it for an hour. It is so fine and smooth. Im about to scrape the inside of...

    Anyone have a foxface lo?

mine never eats anything he shouldn't. He is about 5" long. He will not touch hair algae which is why I got him in first place. But I liked him so I kept him. I have been told rabbitfish will eat HA but the foxface will not touch it. I don't know.

    experience with this ph setup?

And before anyone says the corals look kinda bad, that picture is about ten minutes after the lights turned on. My frogspawn is now 4 times that size 2 hrs later.

    experience with this ph setup?

I am draining my 75g to drill in a corner overflow I will make of tinted 1/4" acrylic. I moved my 3 fish and corals into a 30g in the bedroom and my 160 lbs or lr are in a tub in the kitchen. I acquired a free 55g so I had glass cut for baffles in a sump/fuge. Anyway, after it's drilled and I...

    critiques please

I had a cpr 600gph hob overflow with 1" bulkhead and it kept up with the pumps perfectly so I figured a 1" gravity would work fine. And with the drain going into a sock, that much sump, bubble baffles, and a 2 ft fuge, I figured I would have no problem with bubbles at the end of the 55g.

    driftwood in reefs...

fair enough. I will just put the wood in my fw tank. I have a hard time finding tonga around here. I wanted some long "branches" to stick out of the rock and get covered in gsp, zoos, shrooms, etc. I might also look into making some from that aragocrete stuff. Be easy to make and let it cover in...

    driftwood in reefs...

I want to put a couple thin pieces sticking out of my rock when I re-aquascape to cover in zoos or gsp. Anyone have bad luck with driftwood as far as leaching anything or holding bad nutrients? And what is the best way to clean it if I can use it? thanks

My last sump and fuge didn't use baffles and was just 2 rubbermaid tubs joined by bulkheads. I'm redoing my system draining my 75g drilling a corner sump draining through a 1" bulkhead. I acquired a 55g AGA that Im building into my new stand. I have drawn a design for it and am ording the glass...

    yet another bulkhead question ...

I am about to order black tinted 1/4 in plexi, diamond hole-saw, and a bulkhead to build an overflow into my 75g. I'm redoing it completely and want a corner overflow. I am currently using a cpr 600gph with 1" bulkhead that I want to do away with. Would a 1" bh still be sufficient and what kind...
