    ASM G3 Skimmer problem

Mine does the same thing when my filter bag overflows. Its just the skimmer doing its job. You can do a gate valve modification or lower your outlet even more with a saw.

    Using bleach on filter???

I was told the same thing by 2 LFS. Both told me to wash the filtration bags in the washing machine with bleach but no soap. Only one told me to rinse the bags afterwards and use chlorine removing chemicals

    Tanks with built in sumps

I have a 125 gal system II and wish I had gotten a regular tank. With a system II you are severely limited on optional equipment. The narrow sump in the back is a royal pain to work in. I'm looking at drilling mine and going with a external sump.

    Nitrate Problem

Thank you for the replies. Yes the tank is 125 gal, well 125 minus the wet/ dry in the back of the tank. I kinda got taken on the whole "system" idea. I have found out that I am severely limited in what I can do to the tank since it was designed to be all inclusive. The back 4" of the tank is...

    Nitrate Problem

I have a 125 SeaClear System II with a nitrate problem. The tank is 6 months old with 80 lbs of LR and 80 lbs of sand. I have a small SFE, Trigger, and 5 damsels. I feed once a day and the food is gone with in a few minutes. All my levels are good with the exception of Nitrates. 10% water...

    Pls Read - Corrosion

The salt doesn't evaporate......only the water does. There is no difference between what would evaporate off a freshwater system and a saltwater tank.

    Mysterious Gelatinous glob

Ok, first off thanks for the welcome. The cameara didn't like taking pictures through the tank and water but I think the pictures show these globs ok. They are more opaque looking than the photos show though. They look smooth with round edges anywhere from 1/4 to 2 inches in length and width.

    Mysterious Gelatinous glob

I recently purchased my first tank (125 gal.) and have started the cycling process with a 50/50 mix of live sand/ crushed coral (80 lbs total) and I have started adding rock (20 lbs base rock and 15 live). The base rock was put in the tank on day 1 and has these opaque white globs growing. I...
