My MHs are 24" from the water's surface,I'm considering lowering it,At this height will it be good enough for a clam or acros? MHs=2 175w

is there a skimmer where i run without a sump under my stand? Or could i have a small sump and run a skimmer next to it and have a return straight from the skimmer?
