thats not alot of wattage. unless youre getting it for really cheap, you can do better. id recommend the nova extreme pro. more wattage so you could even go alittle bigger in the future if you wanted to.

    how many watts?

id go with the 48 nova extreme PRO. that one is 6 x 54 watt bulbs and has individual reflectors, which you def want. im pretty sure at least one of if not both the 4 and 8 bulb models do not. that should be enough for a 55 and 90.

    what kind of lighting?

go with either T5 or metal halides. if going T5 go with one that has individual reflectors. i recommend the nova extreme pro 48" for T5's. its not real expensive, and ive seen some BEAUTIFUL tanks that use that light. its what i was going to buy until i got a great deal on my halides. but...

    T5 or MH?

there are several T5 units that are just as good as MH setups. the only downside to MH is the heat. i dont think you'll go wrong either way. ive seen some beautiful tanks under T5's.

    Salt Mixes

everyone has their opinion on this one.. the most popular seem to be instant ocean, reef crystals, oceanic and tropic marin pro reef. personally i wouldnt use instant ocean or reef crystals for reef tanks, but thats just me. i use tropic marin pro reef and love it. it is pricey tho.

    Ick

quarantine all fish in a seperate tank and treat with hypo salinity. keep them there for 6 weeks so the ick will die in the tank. dont fall for the "magic potions" that claim to get rid of it
