I have some worms that start out like a red hair. After a couple of days they branch out like a tree branch. They are bright red and are on the glass only as far as I can tell. Please identify if you can. I don't have a camera or I would post some pictures.

I dont have a real good eyesight. I have a FOWLR and the rocks have thousands of small holes. At night and sometimes in the day I see what looks to be chicken mites crawling around on the rocks. Would this be copepods by chance?
