How big is your tank?

150 gallons isn't enough to house one tang let alone three

You shouldn't put tangs in a tank that size, they will outgrow it too fast, general rule, 1000 gallon minimum for tangs

General rule, if your tank is under 1000 Gallons, just say no to Tangs

Unless your tank is over 1000 gallons you shouldn't consider owning any tangs

I use the strips, they work great, just dip and read and they are very accurate.

What are you the "Tang Police"?

The hippo is only 1 inch and is doing just fine, once it outgrows the tank it will be moving to something bigger.

Went to my LFS and bought a new test kit that tests PH, Nitrates, Nitrites and Ammonia. Tested some of my water at the store and PH was 7.8-7.9, Nitrites were 0 and Ammonia was 0.25. I found out I had been leaving my light on to long so I bought a timer and will leave it on for 7 hours a day...

So should I pull out all the livestock? What should my next move be, I no longer go to the LFS that sold me the strips, I'll pick up some other test kits tomorrow and do more tests with accurate equipment, no worries on your abrasiveness, I have thick skin, I'm from Northern CA to by the way...
