opinions? picked these up the other day

i got this superman monti yesterday, and noticed something slightly protruding out of a small hole. its moving around alot inside its hole, and causing the coral to 'slime' quite a bit. what is this thing? Its hard to get a pic of it as my camera is a PoS. i can post more if needed. thx for looking

the first pic is pretty clear, but the second creature is hard to see in the pic, so I'll try to describe it. It looks like a snail w/out a shell. Almost like a nassarius w/out the shell or tube. Sorry for the bad pic, I'll try to get a better one if need be.

I just caught my new scarlet hermit crab breaking a chunk of coral off from the outer rim of the coral. WTF? the coral has been ID'd here as Phyllangia americana. It came on some LR I got recently. Is it just cleaning up around the edges, or is this gonna be a problem?

Is there a way to raise the current 'outer orbit' 48" (model 1077) fixture without hanging from my ceiling? The 4" legs are just too short. I would like to be able to at least lift the glass lid. there has to be a way...

Ive had my tank operating for about one week now, and everything is looking ok except my Nitrite. It's 5.0 still. I used cured LR, so got no spike, just the trites. They are holding fast at 5.0. Wont budge. Guy at the shop said to just wait it out. I would like more opinions.
