    Agressive Clown fish

Sorry StevenK, I hope you don't mind a little more advice, but you are asking for trouble with 13 fish in that 75G. Your tank has only been up for 3 months...even if it cycled in 2 weeks, that means that in approximately 10 weeks you have added 13 fish. You might want to get other opinions...

Here is My 7 gallon Nano Reef Project

What adding a Blue Lobster? I have had owned one in the past, and did not have any problems with it being aggressive. Especially if it is the only thing in the tank, you will get very little left over food (whether flake or direct feeding), and they add little to a bio-load. They are very...

Stocking Advice: Corals or Fish go first?

I have read conflicting reports about the Bi-Color damaging corals. Has anyone out there had experiences with Bi-Colors in a small reef tank?

Stocking Advice: Corals or Fish go first?

Well, my 29G is cycled and ready to go (after a series of sporadic battles with very zealous hair algae). Should I add coral first, starting with an easy softie, or go with a fish? The only things in now are snails and hermits... I would like to get some input as to what add first. I only...

I got this from another board...

If you don't want to read anything regarding the protesting (both for and against) the war, stop right here. I pulled this from another board. Don't ask me why, but I can't stop reading these statements of "free speech." This is the link... http://news.messages.yahoo.com/bbs?a...8445&mid=11890

    37 gallon

Depending on your lighting... I would build a nice looking reef. You can stack LR almost straight up and down in a 37G, giving it a nice reef ledge appearance. This is also good for keeping different types of coral separated for light intensity (MH is best) or cohabitation. Just a thought.

    Fragging Acros

I don't know what color it is, but it's a Staghorn Acropora. Can someone help with some advice?

    Fragging Acros

I am going to a friend's place tonight to attempt an acro fragging. The only problem is...neither one of us has ever done it before! Any advice or suggestions on the best way to leave his coral in good condition, while grabbing a nice frag for my tank too? TIA

    Tank size for anenome?

I haven't really thought about it that much. I think they are all very cool, but each of them have their draws. I think it will come down to two factors: 1. Size - I want one that will stay relatively small for now, or at least grow slowly. I don't plan on setting up a big tank for a little...

    Tank size for anenome?

I know that certain types of anenomes like to move around, and some like to settle on certain surfaces, but is there any limit to the size of the tank they need? My 29G is a long way from being ready for one, but it is something I did not have before, and would like to put in the mini-reef...

    Wow!!

It's looking good! I love that color pattern... Keep us updated, I am sure there are more than a few people (myself definitely included), that are nervous about buying clams.

    A terrorizing CBS!

I had the same thing happen with CBS... I would come home from work, only to see him stuffing his face with a hermit crab he whacked. I remember someone saying, "In this hobby, it is not only you that decides what stays in the tank." It's true.

    Too much water movement?

When I said I added "critters", I meant that I added some crud from a LFS' LR cycling tank. I wanted to seed the LS with some bug, worms, pods, etc. I knew about the inverts. But will that stuff not make it through the cycle?

    Too much water movement?

I am currently cycling my 29G and trying to seed the LS with critters. There are currently 2 PHs (600 & 1200 Maxi-Jets) running and they are really moving things around. This is going to be a mini-reef with maybe 4" of fish, plus a clean-up crew, and mostly corals. Should I switch the 1200 out...

Need advice on LR and LS

I saw plenty of stuff in the crud. Turned of the PHs and dumped the bag in. Now do I just turn the PHs back on and let things swirl until they settle, or do I actually stir up the DSB and then turn the PHs back on? Sorry for the ???s, but I plan on keeping this house and this mini-reef for a...

Need advice on LR and LS

Here's the deal: Had a great tank going and moved states (NC back to FL). The LR that was doing awesome (loaded with coraline) was put into a cooler with a PH for the first few days, but then sat for about two weeks in just SW. New tank is just a 29G that is going to be a mini-reef. So far I...

    Blood Red Shrimp

I had a similar experience with a Blood Shrimp. It seems as though mine went through a "bad molt." I was told by a LFS owner that I really trust for advice, when they change their shells, or molt, they don't take precautions like some other inverts (finding a cave, hiding in rock crevice...
