Dropping down would increase the velocity of the output??? They sell 2.5" diameter???
Yeah they sell 2.5" loc lines. I believe they are usually inteded to be hooked up to shop vacs and dust collection units.
I think if you dropped down, depending how you did it then it would create more pressure resulting in a little more velocity but over all less flow. 4 - 3/4 pipes of pvc for instance has roughly the same capacity as 1 - 1.5" pipe. But I think the more you split then the more you're gonna cut down the flow regardless. If you had plenty of pump though it shouldn't be a big deal. I need to get over to the OM site and check out their stuff.

Corey these are the nozzles I was referring to.....I want to keep the viewing area as clean as possible with very little intrusion by anything if at all possible.....Again the main objective of this flow is to create a circular flow going across the top of the tank, deflecting down the front panel, and back across the bottom and up.
The return pump which is the Reeflo Hybrid Snapper/Dart should have more than enough juice to handle the job, and a few others.....

This is the 1" dual version full nozzle.....

What do you think??????
Thinking of using the OM 4Way on the return pump to fire the nozzles at different times in different locations....

Yeah those are cool, I did check them out briefly earlier. Off the top of my head I'm thinking that if you had bulkheads mounted in the euro brace you could use the 45 degree ones. They would be mounted on the under side of the brace and angled towards the front panel?

You prefer the One Section Nozzles????? We were on the same train of thought about drill the eurobracing with bulkheads and the nozzles could screw right into the bulkheads.....I was considering the longer 2 section just to be safe I had enough length....Nothing worse than your line not extending far enough and blowing bubbles all over the place.....

I actually have 4 of these and used these on the 240, but on the CL returns up top in the eurobracing......Can be tricky to get mounted and working correctly......

Was looking at these for the CL mounted in the bottom of the tank under rock work.....These are custom made, and you can tell Paul what angle you want the nozzles at.

Yeah....both sections rotate....I actually have 2 I had bought awhile ago, and they are really need, just the 2 outlet "Y"'s caught my eye.......
Remember how I keep/kept questioning the depth I cut from the top of the panel for the overflow slots????? I found a tank James did, here's a quick peak.....

Now here's what he did as well!!!!!!!

And no bracing on the overflow......I think I'm going to go without it as well.....

I think that was there to show the overflow is level with the top of the tank.....If you look at the finish pics there's nothing there......
I knew I had seen an insert on 1 of his tanks.....His work is incredible......

Ok, I see. So he cut the slot out of the side panel. And then made teeth out of a thinner piece and attached it?

Yes I think that is what he did, it is a great idea because it would be easier on a thinner piece, Shawn you should consider this.

I don't think that piece is actually attached....It wouldn't be hard to get a thinner piece and route teeth in, and cut the piece oversize, but then cut dado on the thinner piece that way it would fit into the slots????? I'd definitely would want my teeth wider than what it appears in the pic though!!!!

So that's just an insert that he made?

Yeah I'm sure it's an insert. I remember seeing another of his builds were the guy had actually pulled the insert out and was done for ease of cleaning.

A little progress so far.....After a discussion on the removable panel for the overflow, and thinking about ways to possible make it removable, I think I've come up with a possible idea. I was sitting around the garage doing nothing as usual, and happen to look down and see that I'd never taken my new Freud book in the house.....I happen to fumble into the router bit section, and the first page I turn to happens to highlight this particular bit......

Now I have to see if my local WoodCraft has the bits......

Not really thinking that as of yet....The bit I mentioned above would actually cut the slot into the panel itself.....Using the bearing to ride against the surface (end) of the panel, and the cutters are actually a bit wider than the bearing, so it would actually make the channel cut itself without having to glue strips into place.
Another option could possibly be using a wing cutter to do the same cut?????
