I agree, but only because they are going to owe a lot of people a lot of money, as far as bankrupting the company, as usual the top officers and CEO will just bravely jump out of the burning plane and deploy their golden parachutes and magically land in a bed of roses and the employees will pay the price in the end. I'm really getting tired of that crap. I do think the money they are spending to try to save their image should be going to other things at this point.

What I have heard is their cash flow situation is fine. If they can afford to pay the clean up, run their dumb commercials and pay the dividend then so be it.
I think I would start in with a commerical that tells it like it is. "You don't have to believe we care about the environment, you don't have to think we care about the people who's lives are being ruined buy this. What what you can believe, and take to the bank is we care about the bottom line. Every gallon of oil spilled, every fish that dies, every job lost will hurt our bottom line and that there is no doubt we care about that. We will plug the leak and clean up the spill as soon as possible".
