Looks great Tangs rule, how does that little damsel make out in that huge tank, he must love it. I swear if I was a fish I would wish to go to a tank like this. LOL

I know, me too! It may even be better than the ocean because I know I'm gonna get fed everyday!
Yup - those mean little ba$tards - I "used" them to test the readyness of the tank after I got it set up. I didn't use them to cycle it, I used about 150# of live substrate from existing tanks - so the tank cycled & grew off that....Once I made the decision to get "something bigger" back in Jan of this year - I went ahead and got things like cuc on order and 4 little bluetail damsels to qtine out with some other fishes. Once I got the thing "ready" as far as the test kits said - In went the damsels to "test" it before I put more high $$ fish in there, in case it wasn't ready.
Once they were in though, there's really no way getting them out. They leave the tangs angles, butterflies, and blennies, alone - but sometimes harass my ocellerais clowns. I cuss them every time I see them, but There's NO way i'm taking the thing apart for 3, 3 dollar damsels. Surely they don't live as long as tangs! ! ! one day - i'll be rid of them

On average how long does it the you to clean all of your tanks?
The little 90g wavefront only takes 30 min to w/c & clean - but since there are no fish in it, only inverts - it stays very clean on its own.,

What do you do when you go on vacation? lol
My folks can come over & feed, add water - but no heavy maintenance. They're getting along in years and I'd never ask them to do more than that. I don't plan on leaving for more than a week or so. They're only a block away and come over to feed the dogs/fish when I out.
On a much sadder note - I lost the longnose butterfly last night. I've never seen him jump or even attempt it, but overnite he managed to jump out of the tank through a small hole in the covers, landed on the floor, and I didn't see him till this morning. He was dried out and dead, so I'm just crushed today
to obtain such a pretty fish, Qtine him, fatten him up, and all the other work req'd just to get him to a point where he'd be safe to introduce into that tank - only to loose him like that is absolutely disheartening. He was a wonderful specimen to have for the 6 months or so that he was in there, but I won't get another. May try somthing else here in a couple months though, when I feel like setting up a qtine tank and doing another batch of fish. For now, I'm just stunned & rather down.

I'm extremley sorry for your loss. Losing a fish, especially one that you have grown attached too, can be just as devastating as losing any other animal such as a cat or dog. Many people that are not in the hobby just do not understand that.

Thanks Guys!
I appreciate the support. We also had a loss in the family this past Sunday. A cousin of mine drowned in Guatamela while swimming in the ocean and was washed ashore desceased. She was 35. Kinda been a low week overall.
