Well it wasn't supposed to be a hospital tank, I drilled it a month or two ago - I made the overflow as well. Eventually I want to make this into my third SW tank - horses or dwarf lions, I promise this time I won't make it into a planted FW tank. My son like eels as well maybe one of those with a dwarf - have to do some research - this is way down the road.

For my hospital tank I have seen plumbing fitings elbows pieces of pipe, would glass jars paint with krylon fusion be ok.

I'd fear somthing leaching into the water from any paint - Coffee Cups work ALOT better - they're fired & glazed ceramic and usually VERY inert...Also they can be black, red, dark colors work best...I've 1 burgundy and 2 black ones in my Qtine tank now, and the fish prefer them to WHITE PVC.......they know by instinct that a pure white surface makes them more easy to spot by predators....Coffee cups also come in diferent sizes & shapes and that helps give a little more non-uniform design to the bottom of the tank, and lots of dark hiding areas. Mix it up with 4-6 of them or more - I find them better than PVC.....Every tang, and many other fish I've Qtined over the years REALLY used the coffee cups for shelter and a "safe" house....
Stay away from red clay type flower pots - many are not glazed and most will leach crap into the water.

Thanks buddy - I have some amber glass jars that I will use as well. Hopefully tonight I will start to put the fish in. The CB is doing alright - I still see a few spots, she is eating mysis and algae sheets.

A picture of my selection of cups in back on post #22 - also beware any coffee cups with any metal imbedded in it - if it's ever been in a microwave, the glaze over the metal is damaged, and could begin corroding in salt water - just find some unused ceramic coffee cups in various sizes/colors - the fish will love them.

In post 67 by unused, I meant not being used by the wife - as long as theyre clean, they're good to go. Most folks have unused galssware lying somewhere in the house, and for sure, some realtives/neighbors do. Keep an eve on those spots - double check your dosing stregnth. usually in treatment, new spots kinda go away after the first 10 days - after that only 1 or 2 should be seen until day 20 and like none after that...If they still are still present at day 20, it may be necessary to up the dosage slightly.

Do you have a refractormeter? It may be best to switch to hyposalinity.

Oh, man...good luck lol. Maybe try and set the net in the tank for a little bit and just let it sit in there so they get used to seeing it. Then entice them with some food...maybe you can sneak attack.

Well I got them all I had to pull almost everything out, this is very stressful I hope I am doing the right thing I dont't think anything is happy right now including me. See what happens I think the emerald crab is on a rock I pulled out I can't see him in the tank - now to put everything back rock that is. It was looking so beautiful - now a cloudy mess - who knows what my numbers are going to be. The two anemones are out they look ok. Man oh man - how do you guys do this in a 100 gallon or 200 or shawn 435 gallon.

I feel your pain, bud. I had to do the same thing on the 120G when I first got it after I finally gave up trying to catch everything when I realized that it just wasn't going to happen in my lifetime. What a PITA that was. On a good note though when I did put the rock back into the tank I was much happier with the aquascape.

Funny you know I just put things in randomly because I am going to redo the whole tank and it doesn't look so bad, banggai cardinals were the hardest to get and the chromis. Foung the emerald crab and the two anenomes look ok. I should bring one to the LFS

Yeah that's how it happened for me. I was so mad and frustrated with the situation and at myself because I thought I knew what I was doing when I didn't lol that I just started tossing (not litteraly) the rock back into the tank. The next day the wife and I were looking at it and were like "hey the rock looks really nice now". That whole situation is actually what drove me to find this site in the first place. It's an experience that I won't soon forget and was the first time I'd ever worked that hard just to try and keepf some fish I'll tell ya that lol.
