Coral Beauty - has ICH!!!!!!

When I first tried the hypo method I went out and picked up some different sized pvc fittings and such. I turned some of them on end like little caves or houses and then I made this little structure type deal out of the pvc for them to swimm in and around on. I figured they were going to be in there a while so I might as well give them something to do in there or have an area to claim as their own. I read somewhere that it was a good thing so that's what I did.

That is a good Idea I might buy a 4 ft piece of 2 or 3" pvc and cut it up. Fish are in the HT they look OK

i have 3 pieces of pvc in my qt.2 4inch 90's and a "t" no straight pipes. nothing small like 2 or 3 inch because they can still hide in there and i can find/see them

Howdy..... I have to be totally honest here, I know what you are going through. We had to Hypo our DT due to the Nasty ich infestation and lost some real nice fish in the process. Hope only the best for you and your little critters. We had taken out all the inverts and LR and left the fish. For the most part they did fine. Right after all this we went out and got a QT. Sometimes it sucks to have to learn the hard way.
Yours look pretty happy at the moment. We should have gone through this together to compare notes Lol..... Oh and it also started with the CB and then spread to the other fish.

The QT setup is a good start, but I would add some fake coral or some pvc pieces for comfort zones for fish.

That's perfect!
nice dark places for them to hide - they know white makes them stand out, and a nice dark place to hide/sleep is just what they'll want. I dont see any need for plastic fake things - it's just more to clean up at some point and is likely more for our benefit than theirs. Ive done the plastic seaweed/coral thing and the fishes don't seem to prefer a tank with or without it. This is just a temp home anyway, and is much less stressful than what they've seen before, comming from 1/2 way around the world!

Well I sat down and had a good look at all the fish, the CB looks pretty good just a small spot on her tail, clowns, cardinals, chromis no visible spots however the bi colored blennie definitely has a spot on one of its fins. Started dropping salinity yesterday down to about 1.019 tonight. Fish are all swimming normally. the blennie was the last fish i added to the reef tank, he may be the culprit, not blaming him should blame myself for not QT everything.

The fish look fine, swimming around normally I added another fake decoration because I like these fish - I can't get use to the fishless DT - I keep looking for fish - the cleaner shrimp just stays in one spot as well. Anyways I bought soom IO reef crystals this time, for the first time, I am going to do a 5 gallon change on the DT with half regular IO salts and half reef crystals.
