Ok, so i wont give up on the plate dying, but now it looks like its getting diatoms on the center part, so i really dont think it will make it.
Still havent gotten a chance to take a pic of the foxface, ill probley get one tonight
Also my dad just got us a generator since that huge storm is coming right at us, i really hope we dont have to use it...

LOL, my dad bought a generator yesterday! You said your brain has a white clump comeing off it, does that mean it's bleached or is there literaly white stuff growing on it? Good luck getting a pic of you're foxface mine is really active.

no its not bleached, you know when you cut a coral for fragging theres those little white hook looking things in the inside? thats whats coming off my rad brain.
my parimeters are
saltinity- 1.023 (raising it to 1.025 slowly)
amm- 0
trate-0
trite-0
PH-8.3
calcium-480
not sure what the alk is, but ive been doseing 22 ml of BIonic parts 1 and 2 every other day

From what you described it sounds like it could just be it's feeder tentecles, do the white things retract when you touch them? Are they just on the inside of the red "rim"? Your water parameters look fine. Did ya get a pic of your foxface yet? I just tried and this was the best I could do.
Hmm, the flash makes him look kinda pale...

ya the white things are just on the inside of the "red rim" but theyve been out for 3 days straight, on my other brain the feeder tenticles just come out for a few hours then retract.

just got in a order from a online site, i got a mag 5 for the skimmer since the onld pump wasnt working, a Seio 850, Coral- Vite and Coral-Accel, and sailfert calcium test kit, ill test it right now to see how accurate my old test kit was

I have mine placed on the sand and it's doing great. You can use a turkey baster to blow the algae off of it. Hopefully it will be ok in a couple of weeks. Just keep the debri off of it with the trukey baster.

Wow! He is a really nice bright yellow. Did you take that pic, (the one with the seio) with or without a flash? Thoose rics look like they've already doubled in size! Good choice getting that seio pump, I have a 620 in my tank and I love it. It makes a really wide current, not just a jet.

Those are with flash...i think, when i take pics of the tank w/o flash the pics always look REALLY blue, like some of the pics of my new coral.
Ya the rics are getting huge! i really want to get like 7 diff. rics and put them on the one 50 lb rock i have, so eventually ill have a ric garden (im also planning on doing the same with zoos, after xmas im gonna order a pack of 20 diff zoos)
im still debating weather i should get a 3rd seio, right now i have a 620 , and a 820,a maxijet 1200(no mod) and my return does around 1200, so thats right around 22x turn over rate. You guys think another seio or not?

Another seio coulden't hurt, but if your not gonna have a ton of SPS corals you probably don't need another pump. I like the idea of a zoo and/or ric garden. After X-mas I think I'm gonna order some stuff off this site and if so I will defenatly order some rics.(they're kinda hard to come by around here) In fact, the day you bought your rics was the first time I'd seen them in a store.

im only planning on having a few SPS, but a few always seems to be 20, so i might go with another seio
I got the zoo/ric garden idea from some reefers on this site. i found this one site where i can get 20 (5-10 polyps each) zoo frags for $200 (that inculdes shipping) and 5 different rics/shrooms for $45 so ill probley just get those after xmas

Wow, thoose are good deals. Especially 5 rics for $45.

its a type of shroom, i think they are bumpier than regular shrooms, like i think hairy/frilly shrooms are in the rhodactis group but im not totally sure

the fungia still has a orange color, and has even become a little brighter, but the edges and center are still bleached. The brain is fine, but i never found out what happend to it. My green brain is HUGE right now, ill try to get a pic. Its the biggest ive ever seen it, probley 12" in diameter
