Good news Ohio, soon we'll be able to have our guns in our bars!

You packin' heat?  You're indirectly endangering someone's life just having the potential of using that firearm.  Whether intentional or not, whether you're protecting your life or possessions, if you pull that trigger you're still ending another human beings life.  What's the difference?

Now let's start the "definition of life" argument when it comes to abortion.  That's always a fun one.

I wouldn't call that misleading, would you?

Your openning statement completely ignored the portion of the law that's states they can not consume any alcohol to do so. That is misleading.

I have had or been around guns since I was first brought home from the hospital as a newborn. Bionic, my brother Robert stopped a man with a pistol from stealing a car on our farm with a gun-no one shot, but it stopped what we found out was an escaped felon. Meth heads who lived next door to my brother pulled a pistol and threatened to kill my dad who went out to check on his semi parked on the street, because they said he was a narc and the semi was a police lookout post. A .223 rifle in the hands of my brother calmed them down quickly. Again, no violence. You are so paranoid of guns you have no ability to see their utility and usefulness in preventing crime. That is a level a fear I can't imagine living with.

I need professional help? Look in the mirror. You justify gun ownership on the simple fact that those scenario's you quoted ended up without pulling the trigger. What if the guy went through on his threat and pulled his own weapon out? Would your brother have pulled the trigger then? If he did, and he killed a person with the shot, then it's a death regardless if it was self-defense or not. Then end result was the guy was DEAD. You're the one whose paranoid. I've been around guns since I was in diapers. NOT ONCE have I had to pull a weapon on another human being. I don't live in some mortal fear that someone MAY attack me, or MAY cause me physical harm. If you have to look over your shoulder waiting for that next person to threaten you or your livlihood, maybe you need to find someplace else to live. I know I would.

In my opinion you are naive and frightened. I have no fear of criminals having weapons. They always have and always will. People like you who want to make us all unarmed victims frighten me-not criminals.

Mantis sounds like my niece's husband. They'e looking for a new house, and he insists on having acreage. Why? He says he needs open spaces so he'll have plenty of time to see any 'enemies' trying to come on his property. My sister is storing some of their stuff in her house, and she had to put a lock on her closet for storing his Ammo Dump. She's afraid his 5 year old may get into it. He's also got enough rations to last him a month in case of a Civil War. Everytime I talk to him, I just shake my head and laugh.
I personally could care less if anyone owns a gun. I own guns. I just don't sit around worrying about using them. Mantis has this paranoia that practically anyone he doesn't know MAY be some criminal out to get him. I've lived in the same house for over 20 years, and have never been threatened or never broken into. Mantis seems to hae an 'incident' every other month. I guess if I lived in some shady neighborhood or dangerous area, I'd get a little paranoid about the "Bogey Man" coming after me.

Bionic, would you call an ethiopian immigrant paranoid for saving up a years supply of food paranoid?
Would you call a guy with a years worth of rent saved up paranoid...even if he spent two years homeless?
These two examples are real. They are friends of mine. Life taught them these scenarios are very possible.
Why is mantis paranoid or extreme for learning what life has taught him is possible.
You have been blessed, lucky...call it what you want. Others, not so much. Yet you call them extremists when they stand up for what life has taught them. I call the practical and smart.
My dad has guns, ammo, and food stored up for a year. There are riots happenning around the world in civilized countries.....why can't that happen here?
