Yeah, I really don't know why copper and an de-wormer (praziquantel) aren't more common. I think a lot of us are just scared of copper; but Cupramine has a very wide range between effective & toxic levels and I think its perfectly safe. I also use a SeaChem copper test kit which is very accurate & easy to read, then remove the copper with SeaChem Cuprisorb. I think its faster than carbon and is re-chargable. Between the copper & the praziquantel; the chances of introducing parasites is almost nil; IMO. There were some recent comments on another thread quoting Bob Fenner as questioning hypo as a ich cure; I have no real opinion, because I never use it.
