Your rock remindes me of the one time when i wanted to get a hitch hiker out of my liverock so i boiled a piece
. Bad move lol the hitch hiker came out but the whole pc of rock turned a horrible green like that. Well good luck. It should clear up. I wouldnt mess with it to much unless your fish are dieing or levels are off.

Yea like I said, all my testing is great! Its the waiting game now. When I go on vacation I bet the aquarium guy is going to freak when he sees it.

I will have to leave him a note

Its my brothers wedding so its not really a vacation I guess...
Im just glad that this happened when it did and not the day before. The guy is not scheduled to come for 2 days after I leave. That would have been a terrible phone call

Wow what a phone call huh. LOL I think i might cry. I love my fish. lol They are better behaved then my kids.
My son is autistic and his favorite movie is nemo so its something he enjoys as much as me so thats a big plus for me on the hobby. A call like that would kill him. Hes almost 3 but he would know they were gone.

Hey OMG I am so glad you said something about that movie.
Ever noticed how wrong the saltwater tank is? Its like set up like freshwater.
The producers said they spent hours and hours studying the fish they used to make them just right but I dont think they thought about the fish tank

LOL that tank is a joke. There is even a bubbler. But I do like the new hob filter he puts in that scans the tank every 5 minutes lol. That would be the ----. And colored pebbles I think with all fake decorations. If your looking for a fuge and stuff send me a pm.

Wow.... the best thing for your tank at this point is you going on vacation. Stop screwing with it every couple hours. Being compulsive is the WRONG thing to do when you have no idea what you're doing.

Um hello, dont come on here bashing me. Unless you read every single thread of my post you dont know whats going on. I AM LEAVING IT ALONE. I HAD to do water changes to keep the ammonia down and have been testing the water.

Hard to tell but is the water tinted green giving an appearance that the rock is covered in green algae, or is there really a lot of algae o the rocks? Or have you not cleaned the glass and the green is on the glass? Or all of the above?

The green on the rocks has been there for a month or two and it wont come off. I was told it was the beginning of coraline algae?
It looks slightly better this morning. Ammonia still 0

Ah it is looking better. You and Ms. Kitty are doing well to run carbon, test, change water when ammonia goes up and leave them be otherwise.

Either you're having an algae bloom, or a nitrification bacteria bloom because you turned your sand and had alot of detritus in it.
If it were me, (I don't see any corals?) just leave the lights off while you are out of town for 48 hours. It should clear up.
btw I think you should mess with your tank more...

Its a toadstool on the left. In the first pic you can see him opened up but lately he has been hiding.
I dropped my lighting down about a total of 5 hours between the two
