Send them over. I'll pay them $1.00 each to put on snorkeling gear and scrape algae for an hour or two.
Just tell them to watch out for the stingray and lionfish.
As a brief update, I got the plumbing finished from the wall to the general areas of the overflows. Have to put on the bulkheads and add the last pieces of plumbing with flexible pvc tonight. After that I will start mixing water. Probably looking at about $220.00 for the salt alone.

Thanks. I have two pumps and here's what's planned thus far but that may change depending on how things go. My return is an Iwaki 2100 gph return. I am using this pump as a return because it is apparently designed to perform with higher pressure and more head.
I also have a sequence 3500gph that I plan to use for the closed loops. Although it's more gph, I'm not as sure how this one would do with the distance so I'm using it for the closed loops.
Eventually I may change things up but this is the plan as of now.

Brother, jealousy and envy aren't strong enough words for this!
That thing is beautiful. Along with everyone else, I can't wait for pics. Being nosy, but how much do you have tied up in it to this point? And, if you still have a wife after all of this, she must be an awesome lady!
Kudos to you my friend. Can't wait to see the finished product. Enjoy!

Thanks man... at this point I probably have about $3,500 into this setup. And yes I still have a wife. She's already shopping for a new couch and flatscreen in that room... I guess paybacks are a b----.

Was this tank from someone Ann Arbor Michigan?
Looks like you have a good start on it.

Thanks... the tank is from Ypsi. Do you know a bit about its history?

Actually I had to paint the room before bringing the tank in. It was one of the spin-off projects I had to do in preparation for this tank.

If payback means a comfortable leather couch and a huge bigscreen, that isn't that bad. Well played if she thinks she is getting back at you!

You're absolutely right. Can I borrow some $$?

Holy crap... what a night. Picked up 70 lbs of LR (at $2.00 per lb
). Then I came home and continued plumbing the overflow, return and closed loops on the tank. I never realized how difficult this part of the project would be. Even with flexible PVC, there is almost no margin for error in the measuring. The return and overflows are done. The closed loop return is done too. Tomorrow I will finish the closed loop input because I ran out of 1" PVC.
Also, I tested the overflow bulkheads and ball valves that I installed yesterday and, to my surprise, no leaks.

Once the plumbing is done and dry I will start mixing and filling with saltwater and adding sand and rock. I hope to be filling the tank by Thursday.

I'm tired... later y'all.

I do if the tank was from Jeff. It was Kens tank before that.
Both of the people that had it before you ran online stores that owned this tank if it is the one I am thinking of.

That's the one. Anything interesting I should know about the tank?
BTW, hit a minor setback, which was hugely irritating last night. In finishing up the plumbing I realized that I am missing a "T" piece of PVC. So frustrating that a $.75 piece of PVC delayed me by a day.

I did the same thing last week trying to plumb my new sump under my 150. I had everything set, but stupid me glued on piece backwards, and of course lowe was closed. uggggg. had to wait ntil the next day to buy a new elbow.

Thanks man... I never thought I'd get that crap off. I don't know why reefers are so impressed with coraline algae... it's nasty stuff if you ask me.
