Kat I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I have 4 & love them all. I had to put one of my danes to sleep in Oct 07 & it was heartbraking. I hope Kobe will be OK.
I've been very busy with work lately & haven't checked in for a while. I just wanted to tell you the new cube looks great!
I love the clowns & the brain.
My lfs has a coco worm I've been drooling over for a couple of weeks. They want $59 for it. I'll probably get it this weekend. I might offer them $45. I always haggle on price. I run a new car dealership so I get it everday, and I take it out on them. Either way I'm getting it. I've added some new stuff to my cube & I'll update some pics this weekend. Check it out!
I'll keep Kobe in my prayers.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for that, it means a lot to me. My little dog, aside from my niece, is my heart and soul and I just don't want to imagine a day without him.
Sorry to hear that you lost your dog just 6 months ago. It is very hard to lose a faithful little companion.

Thanks for the compliments on my tank and the clowns. Let me know if you get that coco worm and post pics because I wanna see!!

awww what a sweet looking little dog!!!!! I lost my boxer to cancer 1 year ago, but she had ALLOT of tumors when they found it, so it sounds like they found little kobe's early. That is very good! of course he will be in my prayers as well. And don't you ever worry about what "belongs" or don't "belong" here, if it's important to you then it's important to all of us!!!! especially you'r hubby big huges to you and that little cutie *smooch*
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for that, Kobe needs all the prayers and positive thoughts he can get. I had noooo idea that something so small can be so deadly. Bless his little heart. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Some updates: First, I am still deeply saddened about what we're going through with my sweet little dog, and I ask that you please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Pray that they caught the cancer early enough and that the outcome will be favorable.
Second, I had to remove my cleaner shrimp from the tank and move him to my 29 in my office. This was the cleaner shrimp from hell. I don't know when or if cleaner shrimp sleep, but this one never did. When the lights go out, he moves down to the bottom of the tank and harrasses the clowns continuously. He would get in the brain and scare them out of it by trying to "clean" on them or "catch" them. When they got out of the brain, he would chase them around and they could never get any rest. I woke up several times during the night to check on them and he was doing the same thing every time. Poor clowns were exhausted and would try to sleep, but he kept chasing them around. They were extremely stressed and breathing heavily. He also tried to pry snails out of their shells. I don't know what was wrong with this shrimp. He was a psycho serial clown harrasser/snail killer and I don't understand it because he ate ALL the time!~ Hopefully, he'll be better in the 29. The clowns acted happier today and even my little watchman stayed out in the open since the shrimp left. Maybe the clowns can get some quality rest tonight.
Today was the day for me to pick up my Aussie elegance that my LFS had been holding for me for over a month now, so I went to pick that up, along with 3 Aussie duncan heads, Phyto Feast, Roti Feast and Arcti Pods. The elegance was the reason why I didn't put anything on the left side of my tank yet. I wanted to wait until I got it in and then see how much more room I had to add something else.

Updated pics...
My elegance... already opening up! Pink with purple tips

Beautiful! Absolutley Gorgeous!
I love the elegance! Good luck with it. I had one in my 90g for almost a year, but he died. Very strange how it happened. I've had my 90 set up for about 4 yrs & have never run carbon. I decided to start & less than a week after intoducing reef carbon the elegance died. He was thriving prior to that. All params were fine & I kept a close eye on the calcium (I've read running carbon depleats calcium at a greater rate). Maybe coincidence?

Mine was nowhere nere as nice as yours. That's the most beautiful elegance I've ever seen!

I'm getting the coco tomorrow.
I also ordered a buch of rics from flricordia that will be here Tuesday. I can't wait to get em!!

Thanks for the compliment on my elegance!~ I really hope it does well in my tank. I've heard that they don't like the water quality to be "pristine" because they actually like the excess nutrients??
Not sure how true that is, but I do weekly 25% water changes on this tank, and I'll have to keep an eye on it to see how it does. Not sure how much I am willing to compromise my water quality for this. I've told my LFS that if I see it declining, I'm bringing it back!

Can't wait to see your new pics of your coco worm and your rics from Mike!

Nice lookin tank. well done. U gonna add anything else or just sit back and watch?
Thanks! Well, I always said that after I added the elegance, I wouldn't add anything else because I wouldn't think that there would be enough room on that left side to add anything else, but as you can see, the elegance is on the bottom, so there's still an empty space mid-to-top that has nothing there....

...... THEN, I'll sit back and watch.

You KNOW I've always said it doesn't look like an 8 gallon, because it truly doesn't. There is soooo much in there and it all compliments each other nicely, that there's no way all that stuff got into an 8.
Yeah, go ahead and post a poll about it!

Boy, my elegance really spread out today! I had to move some stuff around to give it plenty of room!
My clowns look like they are "daring" each other to check it out and then they will both go at the same time to take a look, and when they get too close to it, they swim really quick back into the brain.

Here is my elegance today

Wanna see something cute?? Check out the look on my clowns face as he's hiding underneath the brain.
