LOL..First things first...school...good choice
Once you get your 10 going good...I think you will want a much bigger tank...so just wait until you are more settled and can get a good size one.

not much room for anything bigger then what i have now:p,
I also came home just now from work and i saw some tenticle/ worm like fingers sticking out of my sand theres 2 of them no bigger then a piece of dental floss, they were never there before and they have a bacl and white stripped pattern on them. Not to sure if there moving of not or if its just my current from the spray bar.
and doing another water test as we speak itll be up shortly

It's a type of star...can't think of the name right now...they never get any bigger, and they are ok to have...

is it bad that its stuck under my sand. Some of my live rock is burried under the live sand, and it is moving every so often. Only two arms are sticking out.

Believe me...it's where it wants to be...you will probably never see the whole thing..

True, and if it wasnt where it wanted to be im sure it could get itself out. SW tanks are so exciting haha I rather just watch my LR and see what pops out next

Ammonia - 0.25
Nitrate - 2.5/0 leaning more towards 2.5
Nitrite - 0.1/0.05 leaning more toward 0.1
pH - 8.0
SG. went up to 1.025 due to evaporation i believe.
and thats all she wrote for todays test! Come 2morro for the next test results!
Wow im hyper sorry

You should keep you water levels up...they will alter your test results (I think)

makes sence. But i think it would be reverse like my results might be lower then what they acctually are. With a full tank of water the ammonia and what not would be more diluted. when now its more concentrated. I can only imagine more good than harm since more bacteria would be reproducing?
I'm acctually studying biotechnology in college so I'm so use to all this chemical stuff., dilutions, bacteria ect. We acctually grew E.coli from scratch and extracted the DNA and injected it into sheeps blood cells to see what happend. Fun times

I hate chemistry...your true readings will come from your tank at FULL...for exactly why you reasoned above...yes the ammonia would be more diluted, but that is the correct reading for that water level....
put 1 tablespoon coffee to 8 ounces...you get mud
put 1 tablespoon to 4 cups...you get what you are supposed to get..good coffee

Believe me I am far from being an expert...You haven't asked anything hard yet
...I am also in the process of setting up a new 29g..remember...I have a 225g since July 2008, and a 54g since August 08 (bought set up)
I am finding out A LOT as I go one
I'm glad if I helped you out....if your tank crashes..I'm glad I'm in Oklahoma

It won't
