People are gonna sit here and slam him for doing nothing. He isnt playing mind games. He isnt playing word games. He is trying to asses his career and which direction will allow him to be the best and get some rings. How many people on this board have done same exact thing? Everybody! For this he is a bad guy who is attention whore from the media yet the media is camped out on his front lawn with cameras watching his every move. The did cant even take a dump without it being mentioned on ESPN.

Good grief Crypt Keeper, who peed in your wheaties this morning??

Lebron is an attention lover, Micheal Wilbon was on ESPN radio saying he was talking to a Hall of Famer who said "Lebron is doing what!?!?!?!? Throwing a one hour press conference and selling sponsorships??? Man, what an ego on this #^$%ing guy" He understandably wouldn't say who the HOFer was, but Michael Wilbon is a reliable journalist, there are a lot of Pros that feel that way.

Lebron is the one wanting a 1 hour long prime time event on ESPN to announce his decision, that is too much. I have never heard of anything like that. And that is happening tomorrow night.....that is an attention whore.
And the rest of my beef was with ESPN making a huge deal out of this and covering nothing else all day.
It's very funny how you are trying to defend a celebrity so much like he needs it. I guess you have to live through him.

And this is also the man who did everything he could to try and cover up a video of him getting dunked on by a high school kid.

Yeah, that was pathetic. I whole ESPN thing is a joke but he is at least donating the money to a worthy charity so what the hell.

Seriously, that's the difference between he and MJ and Kobe....Can you imagine Kobe or Jordan doing this? No chance, Kobe and MJ cared only about one thing...WINNING, that's it. Lebron, and "his team"
care more about being a "global icon" and a billionaire than winning titles, that's why he won't win as many.

Sure I'm going to slam the guy. They are scheduling a ONE HOUR show on TV tomorrow just so 'King James' can announce who he's going to bounce a ball for the next 5 years? Give me a break. If this 'player' is so good, why hasn't he won ONE championship? What has Cleveland gotten in return for paying this player with an ego the size of a football field? I'm waiting for someone to blow that stupid talcum powder (or whatever that crap he blows up in the air before a game) back into his pompus face. One player doesn't make a team. His buddies Wade and Bosh are going to play together in CubaLand. $100 says they get knocked out first round next season. Maybe ole' Lebron can make it a trio. Then they MAY have a chance. When's the last time a team from the East has even won the Championship? But foremost - WHO FRICKIN'CARES!!!
You want athletes? Watch the World Cup. Stick any basketball player on a soccer field, and they wouldn't last 10 minutes of the first half. An average World Cup player runs 8 MILES in one game. One of the fastest players is on the Mexico team, and they've clocked him at 20 MPH. Let's see you buddy Lebron do that.

I thought all the Mexicans that can run jump or swim were in the United States?

It will be interesting to see if he goes to Miami. They want to become the Yankees of the NBA and try to buy a championship it just gives most of the country another team to hate.

I don't think Bron Bron ever wanted to play with Wade, would have to share too much spotlight. I think he really wanted to play with Bosh, Bosh seems the type of guy that is ok with averaging 18 points, 11 boards a game, that way Lebron can still get his 30. Bosh signing with Wade messes things up for for him. Amare and Wade are gonna score their points, that makes it harder for Lebron to average 30, I don't think he wants to play with Amare either for that reason.

Put a soccer player one on one with James and watch he get folded on the baskestball court. what moronic point are you trying to make? That kids in Spain play soccer since age 4 and kids in inner cities in the usa play baskestball since age 4? Soccer is about stamina. Nothing else. Each team has a few players that can be great. You wanna thletic ability. Turn on a football game. No man in any other sport can compete. Brock Lesnar tried failed.

Remember Jordan never did squat until Pippen got there.

This is not as random as the stuff Crypt was rambling, but what does this have to do with anything? Pippen only averaged over 20 points a game 3 times in his career, and never averaged more than 22...I.E., he was an awesome all around player, but not a big scorer, that's what I think Lebron would prefer.

Man are you clueless.
Yea, inner city kids play ball since their four because they're incapable of getting an education, and want that 'golden ticket' that a sports contract can provide. Lebron James is the most overrated basketball player currently playing. Sure his stats are good. That's because he thinks he's the only player capable of moving the ball on the Cavs team. I hope he does go to another team that actually has a quality bench. Then you'll see how the guy is nothing more than a sub-par player.

Jordan was undoubtedly the best basketball player that ever played the game. HOWEVER, the championships would've never occurred if he didn't have team mates and a supporting bench (i.e. Pippen, Rodman, Perdue, Cartwright, Grant, etc.) behind him during those championship runs. If James was playing during Jordan's prime, he'd get 'smoked' every season. But then, he's done that anyways while playing with the Cavs.

What I meant was Pippen was a big part in what made Jordan Jordan and was a big part of getting those rings. Having another capable scorer on the team makes a big difference. Bron Bron would have loved to play on a team with someone like Bosh. I don't see room on the heat for Jame's ego but if he wants a ring that would be the place to go. You'd have to call it a crappy night if they didn't score better than 120.
