Well, the algae is trying to come back. There is some on the sand, and one rock. Lights will be turned off for a couple more days starting tomorrow. This is post op day 3, and I feel like someone has run me over with a big truck. Still hurts to talk, eat, etc. I will probably do a water change this weekend. This algae is persistent. We will win!!! I feel like crap, but when I am lying there looking at my tank, I feel a little better :).

After several weeks of strict QT, today the scroll coral will be placed into the 180g. It made it through several treatments of flatworm exit, prazipro, interceptor... I had not seen any flatworms after the first day, but treated the coral weekly just in case there were eggs. I have several methods for checking to see if any were there with each total water change in the QT tank. Coral has taken a beating, but polyps still come out, and the orange and a small amt of blue sponge is still alive on bottom... SO...today it goes into the 180g.
Operation Flatworm Frag Eradication Complete!!!

Well, I am appalled!! My order from here arrived, shipped from Florida. The Smell From The Box Was Very Disturbing!! First off, I have received many fish shipped from California overnight, they arrive in large bags of water that have been sealed with pure 02. This little black and white clown arrived in a small bag, the size of a baggie, and it was deflated and had an approx 1/2 cup of water in it. The fish is in the death throws. I acclimated him and put him in a qt 10g. He is breathing very hard and laying on the bottom. Snails were shipped in no water, which the other company I always use does NOT do this either, they stink, and some shells are empty!! SHAME ON YOU SALTWATERFISH.COM. I have to sit here and watch this fish suffer!!!!!! I am extremely upset!!!

That's terrible!
I'm hearing more and more "shipping gone bad" stories lately :-(
I've had snails shipped with no water, and while it is technically considered "safe," I never have as good of luck as when they're shipped with water.

I know Tommie Lynn. The only thing here that I have that might help is stress coat. I put some in the 10g where he is. He is still laying there suffering. I don't know if I can do anything for him now. I hate this.....Goes against being a nurse I guess...

Not the news I wanted to hear from you today.
Very sorry to hear this.
I just heard back from SWF on my DOA claim, hope these "shipping gone bad" issues are not epidemic.

I know. So far he is still alive. Maybe because he is an ORA clown, he will make it?? I dunno...
And he's so dang cute too

Believe it or not, his breathing is better, or else hes' starting to die. If I walk up to the tank, he freaks out, but doesn't swim, just flaps his fins fast. Maybe he will make it after all..... I guess I can hope....

The snails from swf are always shipped w/o water....I usually temp acclimate them, and then add a little tank water to the bag before adding them to the tank.
Sorry to hear about your clown, maybe the bag got a hole in it :( I DO know they try to ship in smaller bags so the fish does not get sloshed around so much....another hobbyist told me this once....

I don't know, but they really should ship with more water, and add water to the snails. The snails are listless lol. Not moving. But most are alive. The little clown is actually trying to swim some. I have never seen a fish look so dead, and this one is suprising me. I mean, he was barely flicking himself, laying on his side, breathing really rapid, etc. Ya know, the death throws as I call them. I think the stress coat has helped......still worried though.....
