I think I did question the amount of moonlights........I'm pretty sure I mentioned (3) 1w being more than enough over my 240......

Corey couldn't one of the ELN's not sure be dialed down internally......

They can be dialed down to where they won't exceed a certain amount of current. But you can't make them dim further down then the furthest they will go. And if that happens to still be to bright like this case seems to be then you're kind of out of luck unless you go another route.
She could pick up one of the cheap moon light driver that rapid sells for like $14 I think and just run 3 of the 3w leds. Then she'll at least have a few more spares laying around.
Two ELN's laying around could nearly = a smaller build.

Let it be known that DIY is not always without it's frustrations.

Right now it's time to just kick back and enjoy you created and there happens to be a margarita near by then so be it. Plenty of time for modifications down the road.

OK GUYS.......we have to do something about the moonlights :( When I dial them down too low, they flicker because it is too borderline to off (make sense LOL).....so we have to keep them on more then I would like cause they are too bright

Smaller driver and only run 4 tops.....4 moonlights are plenty for your tank.......I could light my 240 easily with (3) 1w IceCap LEDs.....

Lois what being so "limited".......The driver would be for a specific purpose....to solely drive your moonlights.....So in my mind it's not "limiting", because that's all you'd want to drive off that driver IMHO......You could probably get away with (3) moon lights spaced evenly over the tank and be fine.....

I'd keep the ones you have but maybe add that small moonlight driver with 3 of the cheaper royal blue leds. Those are more like 2 watt leds so won't be as bright. You can keep your current moonlights for accent lighting or maybe evening lighting before just the moonlights kick on and then they can kick off. Just a thought. That LPC driver that you posted is not dimmable and drives the leds at 700mA all the time. So that would be some seriously bright moonlight. Probably not what you want.

Well its just a suggestion I threw out there. Was saying you could use the small moonlight driver with 3 less powerfull leds for your moonlights. The ones you currently have could be kept accent lighting for your big tank or any of your other tanks i suppose.

OH OK....I was confused that maybe they would not work with the moonlight driver......I'm just gonna order the driver for now...

You should do 2 of those moonlight drivers. Use one for some red LED's for "dark" viewing. The night dwelling critters don't see red so you can spy on them.
Just thought I'd mention it seeing as how it's Danny's time and YOUR money :)
