How sad.....You obviously have never loved...nor been loved by an "animal" something that only knows how to love unconditionally too....
Well this topic is done for me

I'm simply pointing out that Human life is more important than dog life.
If I rush into a burning building, and I have a choice to save a kid or my dog. I'm going to choose a kid.
And I think a lot of people whether they realise or not are taking a side in the argument, that basically chooses the dog.

so you think that because i think Vick is a great athlete...i abuse dogs?
LOL...

No, but your willingness to write off what he did as a "mistake" and your desire to watch him "play" again does....means you have no moral conscience....I for one will not watch any game his is playing in. Even if it is against my "boys". I will not support anything that gives that man a 6 figure paycheck.

I hear you, but Stallworths NFL case is still open, pending what happens with his trial. He has been suspended indefinitely before convinction....

And stop using the term mistake. A mistake is unintentionally screwing up. HE KNEW he was breaking the law...Did he accidentally let go of the leash on his dogs near a pit/pen? Didn't think so.
ok...we wont call it a mistake...we'll call it a lapse in judgment...either way...he went to jail and is on house arrest for another year...HE DID THE TIME HE WAS GIVEN...just because you dont agree with his reinstatment into the NFL doesnt mean that he shouldnt play again...as goodall says, "it is a privlage to play in the NFL not a right"...whether you like it or not...his privlege was restored...
there is no argument that you can make...vick is back...

I will do the same for anyone convicted of murder, child abuse, molestation, and or ----. To this day I have not watched a Tyson fight after his conviction.
Carrying a gun, drug charges I can handle...even understand. But the aforementioned and animal abuse I can not and will not put up with.
I had OJ Simpson memorabilia, I threw it away...didn't sell it, but tossed it.

Not yet he isn't...He still has to get signed by a team willing to have him sit four 1/4 of the season. Then that team has to hope the commish will lift the suspension at that time. The commish has retained the right to extend his suspension upon evaluation at this point.
Now, which team will sign a player they are unsure of playing in the league or not.

i think vick is an amazing athlete and i would love to see him play again...

I agree with what you've posted. I simply have a different opinion of what provides more entertainment for me. The Scab games were the most riviting football games I ever watched and yet the skill level was much lower.
'Hero' was the wrong word as you correctly noted, I should have used 'idol'.

By essentially clamoring for his reinstatement (which is what you have been doing with glee) you are condoning his action by saying you will watch him play, even desire to do so. Would you watch an NFL player that was convicted of molesting children and served his time if the NFL reinstated him. What VICK did was heinous. He willingly placed to animals in a pit and watched them destroy each other in a fight for profit. He didn't need the money, so one can only assume he enjoyed the aspect of this action.
Lapse in judgement? He built a facility for it. Lapse in Judgement is "doing a rail every now and then", not purchasing Kilos of white dust to distribute and traffic in the states. His action is along the kilo aspect, not the doing a line aspect. Lapse in judgment my butt.
And I love how you have turned to attack my personal decisions based off my moral stance instead of trying to support your own stance.....Oh wait, you are supporting an animal abuser and killer. A guy that created a huge dog fighting underground compound to watch and maintain in sadistic enjoyment.

Unfortunately you are correct. Just another clue society has lost its moral bearing. This guy didnt believe he was doing any thing wrong. Yes he knew it was illegal but did not believe it is wrong.
If this was someone with the talent say Joe Montana I could see taking the risk. Vick is a good athlete not a good quarterback. Yes better than some but not Manningisk.
VICK SUCKS!!!!

I am excited to see him play in the NFL again...that is obvious...but that doesnt mean that i agree with what he did...i dont fight dogs...
as i said before...i watch sports for entertainment value...i dont pass judgment on others as you obviously do...it is not my place in this world to judge...we'll leave that to you...

and just for the record...i believe that you were the one who attacked my "moral conscience" first...

while Vick is and can NEVER be joe montana...vick brings different things to the game then montana did...vick has Massive range along with his ability to make deffenders miss and run the ball...
dont get me wrong...i am not downplaying what montana did...i just think vick is different...not better or even on the same level...

i dont see why a team would want him at QB anyway weather he had fighting dogs or not
what was his passer rating again??? oh close to ZERO
he's nothing more than a RB under center
all he did was hold the falcons back, they did better with ryan in his rookie year than they ever did with vick

but when he was in the league the "wildcat" offensive system was not used...i think he has the potential to do alot of damage in a "wildcat" system...

That is commonly know as a running back or return man. He was never a quarterback and never will be. He will never be a winner because he cant throw the ball, read the defense, or manage the game. The only thing he can do with any consistency is run. Put him in a different position and maybe he would be a great player but he is just to f-stupid for the quarterback position.
Did I mention VICK SUCKS and with any luck he will fall on a sharp object!!!

vick is concidered to have a strong arm among quarterbacks...his accuracy is the problem...but accuracy is fixable...However i do not think he will ever be concidered a "great" quarterback...

The wildcat offense is created and used when you do NOT have talent at the quarterback position and a few other positions. It is a lot like the VEER offense. It is utilized when you lack talent in key areas. It stresses the collective a bit more. Teams put these offensives in place when the don't have the talent. No team goes out a gets talented players for these offensives...because these offensives are limited. Teams that use the Wildcat offense are alredy stacked at runningback...why would they go out and get vick?
Seriously answer that. The guy was an overhyped player to begin with. Vince Young has more talent and yet he no longer starts in the NFL.....Vicks only role will be back up QB, and who wants a back up QB that is suspended indefinitely at the moment.
