turbulence is the way you get the dead spots. thats why many people run two. put one koralia opposite of it. and thatll create some good random turbulence for now

OK...I have it powered almost all the way up...When I get the 2nd MP40, it will go where I just moved the Koralia to. I was thinking I would leave the center Koralia even after I get the 2nd MP40
How do I know I am getting good circualtion???

you wont need the center one once you have another mp40. you can program both of them to be in counter synchronization and itll cause alot of turbulence in the middle. good circulation would be SPS having better polyp extension and not getting their tissues ripped off by the flow

I have mine on long pulse. my sps are very happy.
I think mine are happy....LOL....I just noticed some life on the purple acro that was almost dead. YAYYYY
I have not messed with it since last week. I'm really not sure if I should LOL....I did move the PH's as stated earlier, and I have also noticed a lot less of those cyano (??) blotches I was getting
I still get a few here and there though :(

i would target those spots during a water change and maybe siphon the area underneath it. i wouldnt move the ph's anymore especially if you're already seeing growth

I siphon the spots almost daily :( They are lessening, so that is a good sign....and the last water change I did, I basted the heck out of the rocks haha and the sand spots

TRAGEDY

I'm at work...my husband is leaving for work....he went to go check the tank....the MP40 was squealing and my orange linkia was stuck in it..
He took the star out.....probably dead :( and the MP40 is squealing :( He has to leave for work, and I have to go to my other job

WHY ME

well that sucks BUT it could be way worse...
if the starfish lost a limb or two, it will or should probably grow them back.
i have been looking into getting a MP40. how are they?
I have two MP20's for my big tank and a MP10 for my nano.

:-(.
You'll probably just have to do a quick cleaning of the wet side.
That stinks!
He turned the power down, and the squealing let up.....I will have to mess with it when I get home
I AM VERY UPSET RIGHT NOW

I will have to see when I get home....he said it looked like one leg was missing, and another had some marks on it.....BUT he said it was moving when it landed on the sand.....I have read that they will re-generate....so I will pray for that

Good News..and BAD news :(
I now have a 4 legged star, BUT it was up on the glass.....so maybe it will be okay

The bad news is that when the MP40 speed gets 4 led's from max it whines a little......
SOOOOO what do I do???? There is nothing at all stuck in it.....Should I just let it run and see if it stops on it's own? Or just run it at a low speed for now?
This is killing me

I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown.....I was adjusting it and the wet side came loose....so I took it out to clean it
NOW IT SOUNDS LIKE AN AIRPLANE

WHat do I do....take it off again? It looks lined up to me :(

OMG I FEEL SO ALONE
UPDATE......I got rid of the airplane sound......I am running the MP400 on blue, which is constant mode....I just moved teh speed up one led (3 leds are unlit) so far no whining...PLEASE KNOCK ON WOOD PEEPS
ANYWAY....I am gonna leave it like that for a little while....then move it up one more.....once I get to full speed with NO whining, I will go back to my reef crest mode
WISH ME LUCK......I have been on a diet, and had NO ALCOHOL for a month......if this doesn't work...I'M DRINKING THE WHOLE BOTTLE OF WINE
