This one is the GE. Sorry I didn't get the GE logo in the pic.

This one is the DAP brand. Sorry for my bathroom remodle in the background.

I looked at the MSDS sheets for the DAP brand. I looked at thier aquarium and this one(the window and door). They matched identical. Even the ingredients. I will also say, I have been told by SCSInet that the MSDS sheets only need to list the hazardous ingredients for humans. However, I still don't think they are two different materials. But, that is my opinion.
The GE type I is the one most everyone uses when they can't or don't want to pay for the "aquairum" silicone.
I think i actaully looked at the GE brand tonight. it was pretty cheap too. it needs a caulking gun right?

Yes that is right, it does need a caulking gun.
That is why a lot of folks use it, the cost. The window and door is pretty cheap compaired to the "aquarium" silicone. Just don't buy the kitchen and bath. Bad things come from mold inhibitors.

No worries.
I will check back in tomorrow.
Did you get any lighting with this tank?
No lighting. i am ordering the 48in Wave Point HO T5. They come with 2 12000K bulbs and 2 Actinic bulbs. They have individual reflectors and they claim to amplify the light by 14x.

Yea, hey. No worries. You got the whole shoot n match for a hundred bucks. The lighting is a good thing to need IMO. Now you get to customize it the way you need it to be.
It sounds like a nice fixture. I have no knowledge of it directly, but it is a T5 HO with individual reflectors. The only thing left is the quality of the ballasts. Maybe someone will chime in with info on the unit for you.

I can't say that I have ever painted the back of a tank. I have heard it does take several coats though. You'll get there soon enough.
I like your tatoo. I also have an octo tatooed on my arm. Its main body is on my bicep and the tenticals go down my arm. With other things mixed in it is a full sleve.

I hope you don't mind me chimin in here
What paint are you using? Krylon Fusion is the only way to go. It's expensive $6.00 a can but it's woth every penny. It took me 2 cans and maybe 1 hr to paint the back of my 125. Also once it is dry it is totally inert.
+1 on the 100% silicone Posiden suggested. I used it in my DT and sump

Hey P lets see some pics of that sleeve
BTW nice tank!!! Following along

Sorry friend. I had it all custom drawn and we spent 2 hours putting on the stencil. We would put it on, take it off, put it on, take part of it off. We even mixed the color for it in a seperate bottle cause you can't buy the color.
Not saying the world wants to be like me but, it will have to remain an unknown.
Here is a teaser though. This is my inner forearm,

Thanks! i LOVE octopi. I have had mine for about a year now and i can't wait to get another one. my next one is a hammerhead shark. It's going on my other shoulder blade, and i am planning on having rays of sun shining through the water. i want the shark to be at least 8 inches long from fin to nose.

i think i am going to move the tank. I dont want to regret putting it where it is once all the water is in. It is currently in my dining room. But, when you are sitting on the couch you can't see the tank over the table. Curse these one bedroom apartments!!

i think it is going into the living room. once i get rid of the FW tank i have up.. they are going to a new home. :)

Not trying to steal your thread Buddah!!! Paint job looks SAWEET!!! Just don't forget the next time use Krylon Fusion. It comes in several colors. I would've done mine in a dark navy blue instead of black but in my po-dunk redneck town in the middle-o-nowhere black was the best i could do
