Is that a lawnmower blenny? I would love to have a dragonet, but I dont want the poor things to starve to death.

After looking back, the lawnmower blenny was in my original stocklist! This is all your fault nissan!

Im obviously having considerations about other fish I want. So, lets do this together. These are the fish that I would like to incorporate:
yellow tang
jawfish
lawnmower blenny
yellow watchman goby with pistol shrimp
green clown goby
pair of clowns
bicolor blenny
pajama cardinal
banggai cardinal
chromis
a type of firefish
canary blenny
mantis shrimp
achilles tang
Well, im kidding about the last two, but all the rest of the fish are the species I am considering. I would love some suggestions as to combinations of them that I could have in the tank. There have been four offered previously. Feel free to say which one of those you like or make your own and/or offer other fish. Im still a while off actually stocking the tank and would love to know what everyone else thinks. But. Whatever fish do ahve to be reef and invert safe. I know it matters what I like, but its always good to get advice from seasoned pros on what they like.
Thanks all! Hopefully this will be the last list of fish.

Hey! I think your stock list looks great! Although the final say is up to you. your the one that has to feed and look at them every day!
Just an interesting tidbit I saw on reefcentral... a guy there has a pair of mated clowns that were hosting a nem. They actually dragged a cromis to the nem and fed it to it! I've heard of that happening with food but I havn't ever heard of them doing that! It's a good thing you decided on the bubble coral! lol!

Thats weird. But I have to say, it would be absolutely amazing to see! Yeah, Im glad about the bubble coral too. Im getting the tank this weekend, so after I get the equipment, I will be stocking. Got to get the list done first, though. Eventually ill get there.

Yep, that is the LMB.. always one of my favorites.. I do have a Scooter too with no issues. But again it is a mature tank with a 50 gallon fuge too..........
I see in your newest list other Blenny types listed too.....
Maybe more discussion from others on the pros and cons of multiply Blennys. Not so much of an issue if they are different in size, but sometimes when they are of similar shape and size issues show up between them....Just a thought....................

I was thinking the same thing. But, thats why I posted the entire list of everything that I like. So I can choose between them. I also love the lawnmower blennies. I saw one in a FOWLR tank while at the ocean this past week. They do have quite a character. How big do they get? I see SWF says 2-4" they come, but how big do they grow? This one was only tiny. About 2".

I was also thinking about the difference between the Nova Extreme and the Noca Extreme Pro and I was wondering if the individual lens reflectors and the extra fan plus saving $100 was worth giving up the lunars and extra daylight and actinic bulb? What will giving up these lights take away from corals I can keep? Would it be worth it to go with the 8x54W fixture still?

By all means get the PRO with the reflectors for the bulbs..... The reflector is made as a bent reflective sheet behind the bulbs, but that does make a considerable difference verses that non reflected bulbs in the regular Extreme version. As to 8 bulbs, that is a lot of light anyway you look at it. My 6 bulb NExPro has served me well in my 72 bow.
As to the size of an adult Lawnmower around 4 to maybe 5 inches for a real big guy is the adult max.........
It is just they are so, so cute
I have tons of cute shots of my Benny.........

I would say spent the extra 100 bucks now mark. If you get the other fixture, and you want the other one, you'll be out more money in the end. With the size of your tank, to have a great reef, you will want the most light, and the best penetration. I say got with the individual reflectors. That's what I had and it is THE ONLY WAY TO GO! It seems expensive but wait til you want to upgrade. That's twice as pricey.

The fixture witht he individual reflectors is $100 LESS than the 8 bulb fixture. I was wondering if the individual reflectors would make up for the lunars and 2 extra bulbs that come with the 8 bulb fixture.
The Nova Extreme Pro 6 bulb fixture is the one with the individual reflectors. It has 3x10K daylight and 3x460nm actinics. Comes with 2 fans. Costs about $340.
The Vova Extreme Pro 8 bulb fixture does not have individual reflectors. It has 4x10k daylight, 4x460nm actinics, and 4x lunars. This only has one reflector for the whole fixture, but has more bulbs. Has one fan. Costs about $450.
So, my question is, even though the 8 bulb fixture has an extra daylight, and extra actinic, and 4 extra lunars, would it be more beneficial to get the 6 bulb fixture because of the individual reflectors and extra fan? I think you are a little confused rlblan. You said to spend the extra money for the individual reflectors. They are used in the cheaper fixture. Thought I would clear that up for you.

EDIT- also, whats so different between the ASM G1x and the Red Sea Berlin X2 skimmer? Theyre both rated for 150g. Is the ASM better for some reason? Or is it just the name?

Bump one last time for the night.
Could still use input on the stocklists mentioned (post 66), as well as the lighting question (post 91) and the one about the skimmers (EDIT on post 91).
Thanks.

So with that modification and a new RODI system I found, the new total is $864 before anything alive. Much better than the original!

Not much to add, at all really, but I had to say...
WOOH!

100th post! And before I even bought any equipment. I dont know if that makes me annoying, paranoid, or careful.
