its very long, and I have been trying to follow it because I am looking at getting a similar sump and modding it into a fuge. But joe's makes it so hard! (said with good natured jab) He knows sooooo much
See what I told you Joe ! Now thats two of us that need cliff notes to follow along ! Can't you tone it down to three letter words that consist of no more than one sentence and one question per post ?

My friend when dealing with meowzer I can easily cut it down to four letter words but that will get me band for life

She went with my pad suggestion !!!
That means I get my name on the plaque next to Joe's name !

One thing...when I was using that poly stuff, the water just went right thru it, none stayed in the filter tray...now the filter tray is full of water, BUT the water reaches across the whole tray...I am guessing t his is a good thing

Well sleeping beauty arises. When you say you see a difference what exactly do you mean. STOP make sure you do not cover the whole area of the tray you are putting your new filter material in. as it gets impacted it can in fact cause the water to overflow the sides and on to your floor. The different flow characteristics will also change your ideal water volume

OK, after reading this I think I have to cut the pad a little smaller...I cut it to fit exactly in the tray...
Yes apparently you go to bed at dark, and awake with the chickens...LOL...on the nights I do not have to get up for work I stay up, and the mornings after I sleep in...or try to...my cat climbs all over my head to wake me up..lol

LOL...and he bites my nose (softly)
Anyway...I turned the back row of filter under so that one row of the holes in tray are showing.....PROBLEM SOLVED....Now there is more water in the filter tray, which I think it is supposed to be that way, but it is a low level may 1/4 of the tray height...this moring the tray was over full.
