Would a chalk bass be okay with seahorses? They are not listed in the compatibility chart at sh

Thinking about that and IDK what yet.....I may leave the firefish and 2 black gobies in the 10G LOL

I would say it depends on the SIZE of your seahorses, actually. Chalk basslet would be very similar in temperament and behaviour to a Royal Gramma. Overall cryptic, but with a tendency to occasionally get a little "pushy" around mealtime...especially if they see themselves as the top fish in the tank. I don't see this as a problem at all with larger adult seahorses, but it may prove to be an issue if you have smaller (say, less than 3, 3.5 inch) horses.

SOOOO...if I wanted one...get the horses first

What do you recommend for tankmates in a 28G cube with 2 erectus??

I'm not nova, but I wouldnt put to much. A firefish, (reg, purple or Helfrichi), or pair of Banggi and maybe a pair of neons. You dont want too much, as the bioload from the horses will be pretty high.
I know with other tanks its kinda hard to find something you dont already have.

A neon goby????
I would love a couple of these

Neon gobies are so tiny and only one in such a little tank.
What I looked up on the Panda Goby:
The Panda Clown Goby is usually found among the branches of pocillopora coral colonies. They are a small stocky shaped fish with a very large head for their size. There are many different color variations of clown gobies, and this species is black, white and yellow. They are a peaceful fish that makes a wonderful addition to a reef aquarium containing colonies of polyp corals, as they enjoy swimming and hiding amongst the polyps. However, they may nip at the polyps of SPS corals.
It requires a 10 gallon or larger aquarium with at least one pocillopora coral and some shaded areas for the fish to hide. It will rarely become aggressive towards other fish, but will fight with its own kind in smaller tanks
. Therefore, it is best if it is kept with other docile species

I kind of decided to leave the firefish, and the 2 black gobies in the 10G......HMMM....Is this saying you can only have one????? Is that how you read it?
The neon goby looks almost like the blue cleaner wrasse..only PUNY

you can have 2 neons if you can find a mated pair, they come in blue or gold and they arent that tiny, mine were about an inch and a halfand can get to 2 inches. . really cute.
Barnical blennys are neat too, and you can keep more then one together.

I was talking about the Panda Goby's......does it look like the article that Flower posted is stating that you can only keep one Panda?????

Neon gobies say just one as well, so a mated pair of anything should be okay. The Panda needs a certain coral. I was looking into getting one until I saw that..me and SPS corals are enemies..LOL..That's why it's in bold print

I know neon can be kept in mated pairs, as the will breed in our tanks. The fry are prob smaller then clown fry though. lol

LOL...BUT I don't want a neon goby...I wnat a panda goby

My thought is this.....the paragraph also states they need polyps.....I will have polyps, shrooms, kenya, colt...etc....so surely the panda can "reside" in them

I said as in the neons, so with the pandas...a mated pair would work for more than one per tank rule. The article I read and posted says they need at least one pocillopora coral besides the polyps, shrooms etc..etc.. I looked up that coral..it's a PITA to try and keep under my tank conditions so I passed.

Yeah....the Panda's are like $25 each....so I need to make sure they can live w/o a pocillopora.....I will have to do some more research
