$9.00 Firefish is in the bag, waiting for the trip home. Kinda funny walking back into work with a brown bag, being asked, "Hey, is that your lunch?" and my reply, "No....it's my fish...."

Lol good man. I walked away from several fish as well.. my cousin however bought a clown fish which died in 48 hrs. :/
Your tank is coming along awesome buddy. I think you got that pollci and horn coral from me as well right? Let's meet up one day, I will trim more birds and head up or you head down whatever lol.
My tank will go through some change soon and I think you are going to like it lol. ;)
Your tank btw is coming along awesome and glad to see that clear algae gone. I know for fact it was caused by bio balls because my buddy had the same issue as soon as he introduced bio balls in his system .
An how, see you around rick. I will text you some pics soon.

Hey now, are you making fun of me?
Snake (Crazy taxidermist jokes, huh?) Blitz33
That was such a good movie, actually. Can't believe my wife never saw it. And now I hear that A&E or some such station is making a miniseries called "Bates Motel" about how Mother and her lover screwed up Norman. I might be interested, as long as they keep it period specific and don't go messing around with some dumbass "reimagining" of the tale.

You know, now that I think of it......I think there was only ONE fish I ever bought from there that lived.....and of course it was an evil-eyed monster of a gold-stripe maroon clown. AllFish is good for dry goods for the most part, but we should really learn to stay the heck away from their livestock. And their coral prices.......HA!!! What a joke.
The Pocilli did come from you! The horn coral didn't though....I got that from Robin at Barrier Reef. He was actually a little miffed that I took that frag; he was thinking of taking it out of stock and adding it to his own tank. But you know.....if you don't want to sell it, don't put it in the frag tank.....
Speaking of coral donations. You know that green monti with blue heads? My Midas blenny went apesh*t on it and proceeded to bite the polyps off of most of it! I managed to save a little 1x1 frag of it...moved it to another location, and the midas completely ignores it now. I guess he just didn't like a new coral in what he considered "his" territory. The little frag is doing fine though. That Midas is a real pip sometimes....

Holy cow.... no idea that midas had that kind of personality to be honest with you.

This is the same fish who went batcrap-crazy on a poor sad little McCoscker's wrasse in QT if you recall. I think he's damaged in the head. Mad Fish disease, maybe.

My old little female Mandarin has a new boyfriend. Hope she likes him. This one's red, so there might be some racial tension in the tank for a couple days.

Don't think so. The little girl has been in here for a few weeks (she eats frozen though) and the walls of the tank and sump are crawling with pods. The boy ought to be fine.

Heh....just lovely. Fed the fish this evening, when to my surprise a big ol' ugly white hairy crab comes sauntering out from behind a rock, picking at the sand. This guy is about the size of a silver dollar, I had NO idea I had him as a hitchhiker from any rock. Especially considering I have exactly THREE pieces of true live rock in this tank, and I dipped all three pieces before they went in.
I'm assuming he's not a friend of mine, but I don't know how on earth I'm going to get him out. I'll have to wait and see if I get a look at him again, if he'll show my his claws. He looked like something in the Mithrax (not so bad) / Xanthind (not too good!) families.

Thanks!
Busy day today. Water changes on all three tanks....30% on the seahorse tank, 10% on this tank, and 15% on the QT. Sheesh.
Seems the pump for the GFO got a little clogged, so the pump got swapped out and the GFO got changed. Other than that, everything looked pretty good! I'll take readings tomorrow, but I don't think it needed more than a 10g WC this time.
The little firefish is doing pretty good so far. We're at a week, so let's see what happens.

Actually I'm swamped on Tuesday night...AGAIN. My one hopeful bright point in tomorrow evening is the possibility of an African Leopard coming in stock at one of the LFS's. But I'm not holding my breath.
Filters for the big tank are getting swapped out tonight. I still haven't found that crab again, but I saw a molt of his yesterday....yep, it's not a crab I want to keep. I'm thinking of baiting the tank with a piece of raw fish tonight and watching after the lights go out. Hopefully I can convince him to hide in a rock that's removable (there aren't many) and I'll extricate him that way. Otherwise you'll see me trying to construct a very small crab trap. That might be fun....

Bummer, I'm trying to go there late if it's possible because it's only 10 mins from my work. If you need help let me know. I can help with the trap door or something lol.
