Oh, hey! I ordered "Aquarium Corals: Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History" by Eric Borneman. Actually I ordered it 3 weeks ago, but it finally showed up in stock at Amazon. Should be here tomorrow!!

Let me know if you want to borrow it, Sip.

I don't have a lot. I have "The Coral Reef Aquarium, From Inception To Completion" by Vargas/Sprung, "Seahorses, Pipefishes, and their Relatives" by Rudie Kuiter, "Algae, A Problem Solver's Guide" by Sprung (on extended loan it seems) and the "Reef Aquarium Fishes Pocket Guide" by Scott Michael. And now this coral book of course. Not including the many back-issues of CORAL magazine, etc.
Have any of us actually thrown away an aquarium-related magazine? I don't mean giving away or permanent loans. Actually throwing away....I can't say that I have.

Seth, I've been a Jordan fan since 1993!!
I've been a geek for a LOT longer than that, though.....

HAHA! Caught the little somanafitch!

Ugly little dude. But I didn't kill him. He's been banished to the sump. I got lucky, I just barely happened to see one hairy leg sticking out of a hole in a rock. Just so happened that rock was easily removable, so I jumped on it and yanked him out before he had a chance to move to a more difficult hidey-hole.

Good catch!
and you are correct.. i have NEVER gotten rid of an aquarium related mag... I HAVE pulled out marine pages and tossed the fresh stuff, lol so now I have a binder of important marine articles(all arranged by reason and tabbed)

Dude, I live 2 minutes south of Boca...Deerfield Beach. Next time you're down here (or even in Orlando!) you should ring us up. I'll grab Sip and we'll go out for some conch fritters and adult libations at JB's On The Beach.
Wife and I are going to Orlando and Tampa in a couple weeks for her Birthday.....going to do another roller coaster fest at Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens.

Yup, work is definitely overrated. And if you're in SoFla for those dates, we definitely ought to grab Richard (the OTHER Richard...
) his wife, and go out for lunch or dinner. Sip, what do you think?
Speaking of work. I just have to say it. Had a hard day at work, got home, decided to say "screw it" to preparing dinner. Went out for a crab dinner, came home, broke open a bottle of prosecco, and proceeded to kill the bottle while sitting in front of the aquarium, with quiet music in the background. The bottle is now empty, the aquarium lights are about to go out, and I have NO idea what made my day so lousy. Feels pretty good now!
