So you rather have Mcwar just attack without even talking I see. That's why the world hates us. Great, waste more money on war related stuff. Like we aren't the biggest spending nation in military already. More scare tactics as usual..."Ohh the terrorists are gonna attack us"...."Oh 9/11" ..."ohh the evil doers"...
THE ECONOMY IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE! Stop it with the scare tactics. Hopefully this time people won't fall for that crap.

People, again, its not that he doesn't have a reason to use a computer, its that he can't use it, doesn't know how, and can't learn. Now, I don't know if he can't or not, but I haven't heard anyone from his side deny it.

Look at the super collider south of the DFW area. It sits there unfinished to this day.
...or the Army's Comanche attack helicopter, the Army's Crusader self-propelled howitzer, the Navy's Zumwalt class destroyer. Happens all the time. All it takes is someone who thinks it's getting too expensive or no longer necessary and the contract is cut cold turkey. Granted, I think these were good calls because of the change in the battlefield. Don't think canceling missile defense would be smart with Iran threatening.

I'd love to make that the issue, obama is a huge socialist when it comes to that. And today's headlines prove his control style approach to economics don't work. And I don't think the american people are going to vote for a socialist platform.

I don't really see a need for him to address it. It is a rather obsurd claim and if there isn't a valid reason why he should use a computer it becomes pointless whether he can or can't.
It would be like saying Obama shouldn't be president because he can't hail a cab.

"Speak softly and carry a big stick..."
"Waste more money on war related stuff"... Priceless.
The economy is a big issue. What exactly, as Senator, has Obama proposed to do about it the last two years? What exactly has the Democratic Party done or proposed the last two years? Remember Pelosi said she'd lower gas prices if she became Speaker of the House... How's that working out for ya? Cause, gotta tell ya, in Texas the gas is still higher.
I'm all for the Government staying out
of the economy. To a large extent the current housing "crisis" is a direct result of quasi federal agencies with too much taxpayer money to throw around. Had the Feds not pushed interest rates into the basements and pushed banks to make stupid loans to people who had no business buying homes the market wouldn't be sliding.

Or the growing aggression of the former Soviet Union.
Obama proposing to cut this system literally endangers every American in the US.

Beth, I'm with ya on this, btw. I think the President should know how to use a computer. Whether he actually sits down and checks email or not is a moot point.

Yep, a man who can't use a blackberry is an idiot, forget about the fact he has no thumbs

I think that the president should be able to cook, drive stick ship, do basic car maintenance, integrate, and dance ballroom. But in the end I don't see any of the knowledge leading to a better president. So unless there is a reason the president needs or should use a computer I don't see the knowledge of lack of knowledge being a point of concern.

I honestly hope you don't believe that the terrorists just up and quit attacking us. They've been attacking us for years, as early as the 70's with the Iran Hostage Crisis and 80's with the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon. Since then all we did was talk, talk, and talk and look what it got us. 9/11. Don't limit your definition of terrorists to Al Qaeda. There are many more groups out there that want to take a stab at us. Since 9/11, we've thwarted about 19 such attacks. That's scary. If we take another hit, where do you think the economy is going to be then? It's not a scare tactic. It's reality.

As far as I'm concerned, we can never spend too much $$ on the military or on military technology....too bad if Russia doesn't like it. Too bad if Al-Queda thinks we are unfair. Too bad if some of our European friends think we are being unreasonable. Too bad.

Did ya'll know that Ahmendenijab (sp), the Member's Only jacket wearing self proclaimed leader of Iran, was one of the hijackers that took our citizens for 444 days back in Carter's days?
Just google "terrorist canada prime minister" and see all the hits....why Canada?? I thought it was just the terrible USA that was under attack?
While your at it, google terrorist and ANY COUNTRY.
The "can't we all just get along" mentality just doesn't work here. Talk is cheap.

That's why the world hates us.......Who tells you that??? Certainly it can't be the thousands that flock here every day????
(Sorry to sound racist or bigoted, this next statement is not meant to be that way but may be misconstrued by some.)
Every time you walk into a convenient store and see a Foriegn Individual who looks very much Arab, Indian, Pakistani, etc....why don't you ask them why they are in this Country that is so greatly hated by the rest of the world. Ask them why they left the Country of their birth.
Ask them if they are going back......I have. They like it here. And it's the folks like you that are under some belief that we should be hated, that need to go take these good folks old jobs in their wonderful homeland.

Gotta love Iranian politics! Last one with their head still on wins. No debates, no campaigns, no voting!!! Makes it simple.

Getting back to the origin of this thread....
My interpretation of the commercial was a cheap, low, attempt to make mockery of John McCain. Is John McCain computer illiterate?? I don't know. Lets check on some of our leaders in the past.....
Pretty sure George Washington wasn't checking the weather report online while fighting for our independence.
Pretty sure Abraham Lincoln wasn't going over the latest Zogby polls as he was fighting to end slavery.
Darn, who was that "carry a big stick" guy??? Willing to bet he wasn't packin' a PC going over San Juan Hill.
