Umm, duh, no kidding? Hey dopey; We all want to end this war... but like in all wars there needs to be a victory.
I still want an Obama supporter to explain to me why Obama would leave Iraq, where we know we are fighting Al Qaeda, to potentially send troops into Pakistan to look for Al Qaeda? That just boggles my mind...
Ending a war without winning is called surrender. A retreat from a war we're clearly winning would be foolish and cowardly. Obama is a fool.
Bad as Hillary is, she's not a fool. She has promised to run away also, but the thing is: I don't believe her. I think she's too smart to pull our troops out, and only promised to do so in order to win over the crazy leftists who are mostly supporting Obama.

I saw Obama, on Sat... he spoke for about an hour and he addressed many different things... I think the snipets you see on tv only highlights his speeches, but they have a lot of substance about his plans for the economy, healthcare, Iraq, infrastructure, and so on.
Rylan1, mini segway...Love your avatar...I watched a "mini-documentary" about how that photo was taken, very interesting and good story. That pic was taken at just the right time, as Ali was "pumping" his fist and was not holding that form, as I had originally thought.

I'd love to hear even Obama say this:
"My fellow Americans, after 7 years of war, fought valiently on the battlefield against a determined enemy, we have emerged victorious. The forces of peace have prevailed against those of terror. Those who died defeating the enemy of the United States may rest in peace knowing their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families were not in vain."
Yeah, but to even say that, he'd have to believe we were even fighting a war, or that our defense was even justified, or maybe even to have some latent respect for our honorable soldiers...
We can dream...

I am for the war and I know what your getting at. We pull out and them everything goes crazy the terrorists come back and take over and everything is lost.
God bless the troops!
Amen!

Bah! Defeatist claptrap! Al qaeda isn't stronger, and if they are, then we should double our efforts!
What is this "stronger"? Do they have safe haven in Afghanistan? No! Does Saddam still rule Iraq? No! Has Al Qaeda managed a significant strike on US soil since 9/11? No!
I call that winning. Lets have some more of it.

Meow meow, cry stomp gush!
We are nation building. And it takes a while. So lets quit whining and support our troops. I, for one, am proud of our country and our generosity. No other nation in the history of the world has done (or even tried) anything like this, and we should be proud to be a part of it.
This is a war to drain the swamp of Islamic Radicalism. (Now, personally, I think we need to do more to fight them on the ideological front, but...) Rebuilding Iraq as a free and democratic nation is a great step in the right direction towards winning that war.

Really? They attacked us In Saudi Arabia, USS Cole, two seperate embassies in Africa, and 9-11.
When was the last time they attacked one of our civilians? Seems to me they are weaker.
Rylan, as for the rest of your post; Do you have that typed out and just randomly cut and paste it when you want to try to ignore the topic at hand? you've posted that about 20 times in discussions like these. The last 19 I answered and you never bothered to respond. I'm not going to waste my time any more.
The question that you quoted stands; Why would Obama withdraw from Iraq, where we know Al Qaeda is, to go look for Al Qaeda in the mountains of Pakistan?

Either defend your outragous comments or quit saying them. Yeesh... You say something completely false, a poster goes to the trouble of providing numerous links to credible sources as well as a summary of events refuting your claim, and all you can say is "That's all fine.."
Beautiful.

The sad thing is: the real reason Obama would promise to do these things is a) he wants to appeal to his radical, "America-can-do-no-right", defeatist, leftist base by promising to order American troops to run away from a fight that they are winning like impotent cowards, and b) he wants to "look tough" to the general American public by foolishly promising to invade an ally in a zealous pursuit of our enemies. Its all about votes. With Hillary, I believe she's smart enough not to do these things (and in the case of Pakistan, not to even say she'd do such things), but with Obama, I fear he's just foolish enough to actually do it.

Proof positive that Rylan has NO IDEA, NOT ONE INKLING how military operations are conducted. ZERO. How's this, Rylan, "ALL THE ABOVE!!!" Wow... I don't blame you for tapping out, journey... It's like trying to convince a brick wall to call itself red.

journey: "Brick wall Rylan, you're red."
Rylan: "No I'm not, the sea is blue!"
journey: "... <insert link> Here's documentation which substantiates you are red."
Rylan: "But I heard from my cousin that Fritos are tasty!"
journey: "I give up."

Thank you... That's a great summation.
I'll happily keep up the good fight against his other posts, I just refuse to, yet again, explain the war to him. Especially when he never bothers to actually respond.
It reminds of when I was a kid and would close my ears in my hands while screaming "lalalalalalala, I can't hear you" when I knew I was wrong.

LOL... just watching it play out on the news.
I don't think it is an issue at all, and I absolutely loved the clinton spin machines response. How classic is this? Just goes to show which party judges people based on superficial characteristics and dress.
The accusation was dismissed by Mrs Clinton's campaign manager Maggie Williams.
"If Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed," she said.
"Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely."

I see the far left candidate and supporter of racism got his backing from Farrakahn today.
Obama has the haters from moveon.org aboard..and now Farrakahn.
By the way...news from iraq continues to be good both from a security standpoint and political reconciliation as well.
I'd not be too concerned at proving what the war is.....the liberals boat will sink in the general as the tide has turned in Iraq.
Our troops continue to do nnoble great work in Iraq.
The liberals are still stuck on pre-surge times. DOn't even bother trying to counter their mantra......they sound foolish now.
I also see his buddy Rezko got a one week delay in his trial. Scheduled to start next Mon.
