**Placement Question**
I still have those 8 zoa and paly frags to place; I intend to do so this weekend. I am having a tough time deciding on where they should go. Overall tank appearance, room to grow, color mix, etc are the considerations. For the first time, I feel I am running out of real estate.
My question is:
how much of a bad idea would it be to mount a zoa(s) up on the tall rock between the SPS frags? Say midpoint between these: (yoiu are looking at 5" minimum distance between SPS frags)

Your tank is just beautiful. Looking forward to seeing how it all grows in. I know it will be a while before I have that many corals in my tank. Really nice.

Well Thank You bugsman! I appreciate the kind words. I hold a lot of people here responsible for the success of the tank. Heed the words of folks here whenever you have questions.
I'll take this opportunity to do a bit of homage.
If you go back to the first page of this thread, Mr Henry Spanko gave his recommendations on what type and where coral might be able to survive in this tank. At the time, I had no real idea on how to "coral scape" the tank; I only knew I needed high perches for various types. Once I understood what he was trying to tell me, the more I liked the idea. Then as I began to imagine what that idea would look like, I fell in love with the design.
The tank is nearly exactly as Spanko suggested not because there weren't many other options I could have chosen instead, but because in 8 minutes (look at time stamps of the posts), off the top of his head, came up with a marvelous concept that suited me perfectly.
Thanks again! yeah, I did the work, but Spanko first pointed, then kicked and prodded me along the way, so he get most of the

Suggestions are just that. You did the original rockscape and picked the coral and where you place it. You have done nicely and I think this will be beautiful once it grown in. Can't wait to see it in the future. The monti is doing great in that spot.

***NEW PICS***UPDATE***
I finally got those Ps n Zs mounted. I might possibly move around a couple, but for the most part, I plan to keep my arms out of the tank for quite some time.
Random shots

The birdsnest is going completely NUTS!! Easily twice in size since putting it in mid May.

And finally, the FTS

Thanks for looking!!
ya know, a couple of rics along the bottom might be nice....

I'm already seeing some future problems when things grow out; its a drawback of having grand aspirations in a tall skinny tank. Taking the skimmer surface box out will be a real trick once the SPSs grow out (not much room to maneuver). I may soon need a nano mag to clean the glass. Reaching in to do most anything will be an exercise of avoidance.
A year or so of dealing with that crap and yeah, upgrade time
