I'm curious to see how your anthias do in the tank. I'm assuming you have two females and one male? Which species did you get?
I'm considering getting a group of 5 in my tank. Not sure yet though still reading about them.
I got the disbar anthias that were on sale for $10/ea. I'd have gotten more but the limit was 3 for the special. I think I will get more anthias, just a different kind, on my next order. That's right: 2F and 1M.

How are yours doing? When I left for work this morning I saw the same 2 hovering in a corner....and did not see the 3rd (altho did not have time to look)

Mine are doing well. The male is no longer hovering vertically at the air/water interface. They haven't eaten yet, but they have shown interest in the food. They are schooling with the chromis'.

Well, I got the replacement pump for my calcium reactor today. I have to give a presentation in a little bit but hopefully I will be able to play around with that tonight

The male anthias is the only one not eating. Maybe tomorrow he'll change his mind. It's too late to start putzing with the reactor so I'll check it out tomorrow. Apparently the vortech got mailed today and is supposed to be delivered on saturday.

Finally:

Now to clear the memory on my other drivers, update the firmware, and figure out how to program 3 together.

Apparently I didn't need to upgrade the firmware on my MP40's.

I have the VorTechs running on TSM. You can see all the rubble I had to lay at the front of the tank b/c of the bare spots. I guess that's what you get when you want a lot of flow in the tank but also want a sand bed. Small price to pay, I guess.

Here are some extremely bad pics of the fish in QT.

One of the chromis's died earlier. I'll have to shoot SWF an e-mail. You know, despite the fact that they aren't really great at answering or returning phone calls, they did reply to my e-mail and the fish came through in pretty decent shape. I will be ordering fish from them again when these guys get out of QT.

Tested the QT and have a reading of nitrate: 5.0ppm. Not too shabby for a week's worth of twice-daily feedings and 7 fish. I'm going away for 4 days next week and probably another 3 days the week after that. Hopefully these fish will be without issues and I will be able to make another order when I get back. Going to do a 5(ish) gallon w/c tonight on the QT.

Last night I noticed a small spot on the mouth of one of the green chromis'. It might be too big to be ich, but I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Things are moving right along for you, Great!!
How are you liking the MP10 working with the MP40's?? I have found that with a 125g 6' tank, two MP40's leaves some dead spots in the rock work and that another pump was needed (I still have not added one yet, but plan on it). Where did you place the MP10?

I like the MP10 so far. Obviously it's not putting out a ton of flow, but the flow it is putting out is wide enough to fill the gap b/w the islands of my aquascape and strong enough to interrupt the flow of my MP40's in that part of the tank. I placed it as close to dead center on the back glass as I could. You can kind of make it out in the last pictures I posted of the 125. I don't think I really NEEDED it. When my tank was running before I just had the MP40's on Reef Crest mode and I could grow SPS in the area that the MP10 is now covering. I'm definitely glad I got it; it certainly couldn't have hurt anything. The bare spot in the front of my tank has gotten a good bit bigger, though, and I would like to have a remedy for that before putting the fish in the tank.
Suggestions?
I thought about going BB, but it would be such a bear to break the tank down to paint the bottom and I'm not too keen on having to connect my rocks. I also don't really want to replace my entire sand bed at this point. I wonder if a little CC would be a bad idea? I don't totally mind the rubble I have laid down there, but I couldn't break it up as small as I'd have liked to. Ideas are greatly appreciated!

I think that might be the answer. I went from sugar fine sand and replaced with Pukani sand that is much courser. But the MP's still blow it around a bit. Not so much sand storms, but it moves the sand making it higher and lower in areas. So IDK if that was a "fix", but it keeps the sand off the rockwork and corals. I think that the CC would work kinda in the same way. Plus its a lot less work to add some CC in specific areas, rather than replacing the sand or removing and going bare bottom.

I will have to look around at the LFS and see if they have smaller bags of the stuff. I don't need a lot. Here is the area that has gone bare:

I'm thinking I might take a few cups of sand out and spread the CC around a bit to give it a more uniform look.

Looks like another chromis is about to bite the dust here. It's having difficulty swimming. I have never had two fish die in such a small period of time. My parameters in the QT are unremarkable so I don't know what's going on.
Good news for the main tank, though: I am seeing pods on the glass.

Well, so far the second chromis is still hanging on somehow. I'm going to the beach on Monday for a few days, coming home for a few days, then I'll be leaving again for a few more days. I'll be doing a water change tonight so I can monitor the QT tomorrow. I will have a water change mixing, just in case I need to do a quick one when I get home, otherwise I'll have it ready for my weekly maintenance next weekend.
I'm trying to get the fish to take interest in pellet's. I've been feeding them frozen mysis but would like to get them to take dry food so I can add an automatic feeder to the tank. At first I thought it would be an issue because of the coast to coast overflow, but after dropping the pellets in the water from the height of the canopy, most of the pellets did go into the display and not over the weir.

When you can get them to eat pellets it's a good thing. It gives you a lot more feeding options. Glad the chromis is holding on for you.

Yeah. I really like to feed frozen foods, especially mysis, but it would be much easier to supplement with some pellets and only feed frozen once a day. Every time I look over at the QT I'm amazed that the fish is still alive. It's swimming vertically, with its head down, essentially getting moved around with the current in the tank. The fish is in pretty bad shape but it's still eating and breathing. I think if it wasn't eating I'd probably euthanize it. I still might do it because I'd rather it not die and go unnoticed while I'm on vacation.
