That's quite interesting glueing those to the back of the tank. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
It is mags. There is a mag on the plug on the inside and one on the outside. Its kinda like koralia power heads but with a plug on the inside not a power head.

definitely worth the $$$. I'll never use a point and shoot again.
Tell me about it. And like I said I will have it forever. My dad was 40 and still had his camera from highschool.

baby looks like hes doing good...yah the reason he lived is cuz they dont have a larvae stag they are just mini bangaiis when they get shot out, and they eat flakes/frozen when born if the pieces are small enough..thats what I heard/read

No the babies will not eat flate or anything other then live brine shrimp or pods 99% of the time. And yes I know they did not go thru the lavae stage

Bang Guy knows all..Lemme just go double check
"In my opinion there is no fish easier to propogate than the Banggai Cardinalfish. The main reason they are easy is because the fry have no larval stage. They are miniature Banggai as soon as they hatch and ready to eat real food as soon as the yolk sac is gone."
-Bang Guy
not sure what he means by real food...

Confusing, my bad.
By real food I meant minced seafood, Prawn Eggs, Cyclop-Eeze, etc., meaty stuff small enough to fit in their mouths.
Flaked food isn't real food IMO (just kidding). Very few Banggai eat flakes, some do but it's not a good source of nutrition for them.
Most fish larvae require specialized live
food enriched with a nutritious algae. Something similar to Rotifers stuffed with Nannochloropsis. Since Banggai do not have a larval stage they can eat the same meaty food as the adults, it just needs to be sized for their mouths.
I avoid feeding live BBS to newly hatched Banggai because it makes it more difficult to get them to eat dead food later on. A diet of BBS also contributes to Sudden Fright Syndrome in my experience. I also transfer baby Banggai to a grow out tank that has all of the pods exterminated. It's not that the pods are bad food, I just want them eating dead food. I have found that growth rates are doubled when fed dead food vs live food during the first month.

Thanks, I already knew all this from reading about them for so long and reading your other posts about them. I am not sure why clownfish brought it up it was kinda random but thanks anyway bangguy.
