Well I got some bad news, My copperband died

I am not sure what happen he was fine and eating then just died? Water is perfect and he has eaten like a pig from day one.

NO!! They are way to picky for me. I dont like fish that need so much. I doubt I will get aother fish. My tank is kinda over stocked as it is I just dont have nitrate problem cause I do huge water change every other week or so and have a beast skimmer.

yah that will lessn the water changes...I need to finish my sump so that I can get my cheato working and lower me phosphates , but your tank looks sweet

I am not 100% but I dont think cheato lowers phosphates.

hmm I think dont microalgaes eat it up? Im getting a bunch of it and mixing it up..

The proteins created as algae grows contain small amounts of Phosphate. Remove the algae and you remove a small amount of Phosphate.

They use nitrates to grow so they eat nitrates not phos

geezzz so whats the best way without chemicals to get rid of phosphates cuz im high in that and thats the only thing i need to lower and Ill have great para...

Algae consumes Nitrogen and Phosphate and a bunch of other elements.

soo cheato does eat the phosphates..as you can see im a newb to algaes, etc...pretty new to SW also, but heck why not do it right..

Well I got another crocea and am getting a maxima this week and a nice SPS pack coming early tomorrow. Will take pix tomorrow
