2 years is fresh?Maybe if a guy still in his gown with diploma in hand replaces you ,you'll think differently.
It is all part of the game, get yourself involved where they can't just easily replace you...

Dont you think thats a little arogant?Who told you that your more valueable to the company than what they pay you?Or do you just assume you are.Matbe your boss wont think so when that guy wearing the gown comes walking through the door.
Not at all, it isn't arrogant if you can back it up...
If I wasn't worth it, I wouldn't have been able to negotiate a raise... And I wouldn't still have a job. (they just audited that after we got bought out a few months ago.)

Maybe just a tad underpaid?I dont think all any profession is lazy ,thats just absurd.
What type is that?Citizens?
Thugs and criminals. Can be some dirty nasty individuals. I think they have a pretty fair pay system (at least here) where living expenses aren't rediculous. you can easily make 60-90 thousand as a cop in houston.

I would say closer to the 60K mark is more likely. Not much of a hazard pay as far as I'm concerned for dealing with dangerous criminals, and for me personally Will and Cook county are 2 of the highest cost of living counties in the country.60k barley keeps me out of the poor house if I'm not careful.

I asked if YOU thought the military should be union. Not if the military wanted a union. You did not answer the question. You believe unions to be a good thing, then shouldn't they be good for all professions is my point. If you think unions are good...then you should be able to answer if YOU think the military should go union, especially since so many other government agencies are unions.
YOUR OPINION, NOT WHETHER OR NOT IF THE MILITARY WANTS A UNION.

My official answer is this.
It is best if each and every individual decides for oneself if he/she and business would like to be a member or participating part of a union.I
think Unions are good, but just because i think they are good i wouldn't presume to answer this question for 300 million American citizens.Just because i approve of Unions ,i dont presume that my opinion is the only one that exists in this great big world we live in.

So you think unions could be good in the military?
Nevermind, let me try it this way.I have a point I want to make and can do it this way.
You are in a union that deals with building structures, correct? Which part of the construction process are you part of specifically? Where does your job description start and stop?

iam like veni, whatever union trade in the building industry your in, the union trains you for different things. so when you go out on a job you know what you are doing. that is why unions are skilled labor. some members pick a certain thing that they like, and stick with that. some members like do everything. but when you are an apprentice, you learn about all of it. so how can you guys say unions are bad. these member have to set thru 4 years of classes with no pay to learn their jobs. i think that is dedication. they love what they are doing

On the military being union I can speak about that, I'm retired from the Marine Corp. Being in the military gives you no choice on what you are gonna do for the day or the rest of the month, yes you get leave and calls to sick bay. They tell you when you are gonna wake up and how long you are gonna work, I have been up over 60 hours straight, no overtime there. In the military you get promoted on performance mostly, yes they look at time served, but I was higher rank then some guys that had more time. This is how the military should be you stand watch until releaved not when your contract says you its time for you to get off. The military being union is absured. Unions are just not right for the military and anybody else that works hard for a living.

Do you pour the slab/lay concrete for the foundation or does someone else do this? Basically what I am getting at is, if the foundation layers call in, who lays the foundation so you stay on schedule...or are you "qualified" to do this? Do you just hang out and wait till another union guy gets this done then you start your job....

Carpenters will build the forms and then leave or do another task if there is one until the Concrete masons and Laborers are done .The General Contractor is the one that is in charge of setting and keeping the schedule.

I was being sarcastic (i.e the Taco Vendor Union reference).
Sorry, once you leave the State of Texas for more than 2 years you're not allowed back. We keep trying to put up a wall around the New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana borders, but the Yankees keep tearing it down. If you fly in, you're required to have a State of Texas passport. I've submitted a petition to the State of Texas Immigration and Naturalization Office to revoke journey's passport. We took a vote and decided we don't want him back.

You're probably the only lib in texas outside of houston and dallas. If anything you're the carpetbagger.
