They're really not that hard Perfect. Since I started feeding cyclopeeze to the tank a couple of weeks ago at 6pm every other day, it starts to open, an hour later i turn off the main lights and just leave on the blue lights and then an hour later I feed just the sun some mysis mixed with a little more cyclopeeze. It's been really liking this schedule. An hour after they eat I turn the day lights on again and they are fat and happy. I just baste them with the turkey baster, and then my peppermint is all over it trying to get the leftover's............lol!

Does anyone know, what should my params be for the shrooms to get maximum propagation? And around how long does that kind of stuff take?

Thanks alot, I am trying to put in as large of a variety as I can. Getting ready to order a bunch of mushrooms as soon as SWF re-ups their inventory.

Hey peef very nice indeed the MH make a world of difference.. Looks awesome..
For most all corals you should be testing for calcium, and alkalinity at bare minimum. Calc @ 400 to 450 ppm is ideal and alk @ 280. PH @ 8.2 to 8.4 and testing that is a must in all circumstances along with nitrates.. there is alot more to test for but if you do weekly water changes and your corals look full and healthy its prob not a necessity. Seeing as though a 15% water change in your tank will replace most all of your essential trace elements, I have found that dosing isnt necessary. Iodine, stronium are a couple more that corals use to help them stay healthy and propogate growth. But again I havent to date needed to test for any of those as my corals seem to be growing and doing well. I already fragged my torch coral.. my colt coral fragged a piece on its own.. and my shrooms and zoas are every where.
My zoas started to spread within 2 weeks of having them in my tank. Shrooms took a bit longer but in a month I had a few super reds starting to grow. Ric's from what i am told take the longest and is prob a factor along with color variation as to why they seem to be more expensive.

So here is the new stuff I got, I left out two of the four ricordia because lights just came on and they weren't really all that open.

Thanks alot I appreciate that. I gave the highhat to my friend who had a 65 gallon, he then promptly ate all the small fish in his tank. I was getting ready to move it to a 450g I help take care of but he swam into my friends intake for his powerhead and didn't make it back out.

He was a really cool looking fish, I like the Highhats alot. But the are not reef safe so he left my tank and now he is in that big pristine reef in the clouds.....heh

Hammer coral is liking the new light also

Ricordias are making a home

So at lunch today I came home and saw a huge chunk of something stuck on my brain coral....turns out that it was a chunk of herring that I had fed my anemone. Brain coral was munching it down. At most 15 minutes later the entire chunk was in the brain.
