Okay a question for everybody. Let's same the border gets shut down. Immigration stops. The immigrants use the procedure. Do you really think this will stop drugs getting into this country? Do you think this will stop crime on our streets? This fix is just the band-aid on the situation. What is next shutting down the Canadian border also? Do you really think that shutting the border down is the final reason? If not, what else? Realistic solutions please. How are you going to shut the border down realistically? Build a wall? Who pays for it? Shooting immigrants as they cross. Society will never stand for that.
I understand the incident was provoked by throwing rocks. What if the kid wasn't throwing rocks, would he still be shot? How long did it take to get immigrants processed at Ellis island compared to get processed now? I am sure there is alot more time waiting now.
Like I said, give a fix for this situation. What it is, who will pay for it, and will the American people and government go for it. not just you and your own opinion but the country as a whole.
If we make it harder for the criminals to cross the border less drugs will come in. It will also cut down on the number of people coming across to work so more resources can be put on the drug smugglers and other criminals. They have used boats to bring the stuff in for years and guess what, there is a reason why so much is being brought in over land. They started cracking down on the boat smugglers back in the 80's. I personally knew 2 people who got nailed. Kinda answered the question of how they could afford to spend so much time on the water
