Maybe not as we had planned or expected, but the road of life has many paths.....These obstacles we face daily are what makes us what we are......Believe my friend, and don't expect a miracle or the answer to be there in the morning, but with time you will see things do happen for unknown reasons that alter our course in life and make you what you are and will be.......
Shawn - Your probably right but I really don't feel like things happen for reason at the moment. I feel so many emotions and feel let down by God. However, I'm sure that it may change as life progresses. My faith is shaky but am trying very hard to keep it.

Yeah, yet another Bush crawls out of the woodwork. Funny thing is, this one is more Moderate than Conservative. Little Prescott is half-Hispanic, soo I'm sure he would be a great running mate with Rubio in 2016.

Doubtful on both counts. I still see Rubio as a VP. He needs to step up his game in the Senate if he wants to be El Presidente. Jorge can probably pick anything he wants down there that isn't in Houston or Austin.

He could always pull a Romney, change parties and go Democrat, then run against Rick Perry. Once he wins, he can "change his colors".

Sorry about the religious "spin"...but I thought it appropriate since you had said they run simultaneously....and I agree, they do.
Since you asked: In Judaism, as the law reads...Do not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain, the Hebrew letters Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey make the Holy name, that we may not say. So the word HaShem in Hebrew "THE" is a hey letter (with the Ha sound) in the front of a root word...the root word "SHEM" simply means "name" So HaShem translated means "The Name" ...used so we are not saying his name in vain when we are in conversation about him. Orthidox Jews also write the word G-d so even then in generic form, His reference it is not overused.
Just so you know...the High Priest would say the Holy Name only once each year when he would go before the Most Holy place in the temple with fasting, sacrifices and much prayer on Yom Kippur. Since the temple is no more, we never say the name. Even paper with the name on it in Hebrew, is to be buried with dignity and not just discarded.

I believe in the inherent goodness of creation.
I don't care if you believe in a conscious being, a "number in motion", random coincidence or the flying spaghetti monster.
I believe that in our little sandbox, we should share our toys and play nice.
I also believe in evil, although I am unsure where it comes from. I suspect that evil is our own contrivance.
I further suspect the OP already knows what God's plan is. I believe that goodness is hard-wired into all of us.
I believe the internal conflict that many of us deal with is a result of a denial of that inherent hard-wired goodness.
We are as valid as our Earth, the Moon, the stars, quasars, black holes, snail darters. When we can finally get past our self-imposed guilt,
we can accept God's plan:
Share your toys and play nice.
- I also believe in "Peace through superior firepower" in case you were wondering...

So is that "God's Plan"? Blowing up your fellow man in the name of peace? Talk about hypocritcal statements. "Share your toys and be nice", but if you play dirty, we'll just shoot you with them.

I guess we didn't share and care enough with Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo. If we would have just given them a BIIIIIGGGGG hug, then they would've been better behaved. And Iran and North Korea just need some luvin and handouts, too, while we're at it. If we all just push daisies into our enemies rifle barrel, we all can live happily ever after. Good Lord, when I think he can't be any more inane and obtuse, he goes and proves me wrong. This guy is Stalin's subversion personified.

I like the idea Slice offered...share your toys and play nice. I don't think the small print was out of line either.

You seem mad and began ranting that Slice says play nice. IF people knew how to treat others then people like Hitler would not have been able to do what he did....the small print was meant for the evil men who do hurt others...so what are you all bent out of shape about?

For you I imagine you can use that motto as you pluck off a couple of illegals crossing the border today. You know, the one's that take away your freedoms, your food, your shelter, and your tax dollars...
Kind of ironic how you use the phrase "Good Lord" in one brreath, and have no issues with shooting someone in the head in another...

kruschev famously bragged he'd take America without firing a shot. That's looking more and more likely. When the USSR fell the former head of the communist party was interviewed and asked if he was saddened buy the fall of communism. His answer was chilling. He said they had spent years and a lot of money to place people who agreed with many of their policies in our schools, our unions and our media. It shows. For all the cries of McCarthyism he was found to be right about the level of Soviet operatives in our country.
In 1963 a congressman from Florida had read into the record the communist goals for America from 1955. It is stunning how many have came to pass. Not saying they were all bad but.....
For those who are interested here is a link. Considering American attitudes from the 1950's it would have been unthinkable at the time for a lot of this stuff to come to pass.

I'll keep in mind this is from the person who referred to Christianity as "pagan". No venom or foaming at the mouth there. But, unlike classless people, I let 99% go by and just make my point rather than try to trash everyone I disagree with and get personal, but there's one across your bow now. Bionic has earned a special type of derision I reserve for only the most rabid leftists.
