Not if you have an abundance of astrina stars. They don't eat them whole. That would be stupid. They eat part of them and allow them to grow back
...then eat them some more.
Skunk cleaners imo are cool. I have a caribbean pistol. HATE IT.

Why do you hate it...I think you said in a thread once, but I can't remember right now

It eats my snails...
Stupid shrimp

Plus it's huge and creates some relatively disgusting molts that jams up my pumps very nicely. And I NEVER see it either...worthless. I didn't use to mind it, but now that I want a skunk, I decided to hate it

I'm not set in stone on adding a cuc before fish. I wait and see what I have to work with. If there isn't anything to clean up after your cycle, then I don't add any cuc members and just go ahead and add fish first. After the tank gets algae and detritus, etc, I get a cuc. This is the way I do it...

When you start picking your cleanup crew, you should add some Florida Cerith. You should also add some to your horse tank. They eat cyano.
T
Florida Cerith
Florida Cerith snails range in size from an inch to 2''. These snails will consume diatoms, detritus, cyano and algae in the substrate as well as on rocks, and glass in your aquarium.

Hmmm...I wasn't aware of that snail. How much are they? Cool suggestion.
Here are my duncans...

Not the greatest pic in the world. One of the heads hasn't opened yet, but since this pic was taken like 5 seconds after the light came on, that was expected.
Duncanopsammia axifuga or something like that lol
