Things are looking good for now. Don't freak about the brown stuff and bubbles. As with all live rock and even sand these bubbles are trapped when the rock is removed from water, and yours was out for some time. Keep doing what you are doing.........JMO.
...HEY STRANGER

Sweet Diatoms. I suppose the tank could have all the bacteria necessary for nitrification. I would test tomorrow. If you don't have nitrites or nitrates then, I would add a grocery shrimp to ensure a cycle.

May be boring but is the way to go IMO. Make sure you get a fighting Conch to deal with the diatoms. A couple or three Nassarius and a half dozen Ceriths to move the sand around. Then in a week get some Trochus, Nerite, Turbos to deal with the rock and glass.

NOW!?...You think I should add the conch and few snails now? If so, I could order them and have them here Tuesday....WELL Maybe Wednesday cause that's the day I get home earlier.
I didn't think I would be adding anything yet...

IMO your ammonia spiked in the tote way up. Then in the tank it did the same, not as high. You have thrown in some mysis and from the readings you posted did not see a spike from it. Diatoms are appearing on your sand. I would be comfortable throwing in a few snails to see how it goes myself. If you want to be real sure go ahead and throw in a full cube of mysis and test for a couple of days. If you don't see anything during that time I would throw in a protion of the CUC and see how it goes. If no spikes from that I would throw in the balance of the CUC. Then a couple of weeks after that time for a fishy!!!!

Yeah, I would throw in another cube. I'm sure you're cycled just fine, but wouldn't it be a pain if you weren't?

OK...I do not want to sound like a complete newb..lol...I just tested again
Ammonia is definitely 0
Nitrites are still 0
Nitrates are still 0
IS IT POSSIBLE...that these may NOT spike?
IS IT POSSIBLE...that by me putting the rock in the tote for those 2 days, and rinsing it off real good, that I could have knocked a big part out of the cycle?
I keep expecting something to jump off my charts, but they are not...

Yes possible. Do you see the ceriths enough to be sure they would be okay? Mine disappear in the sand quite ofter. Now a Trochus or a Turbo you could keep track of better. I would say no to the pencil urchin. Cube of food is a good option too. HaHa you have to pick!!!!

Have I mentioned how I hate making these kind of decisions

My ceriths come out a lot, BUT then again I have A LOT more than I actually see....I was just thinking of something I already have....
What to do....I guess I can throw some food in, place a new order Sunday...receive the order Wednesday....AND if by some chance I get some spike...I could put the cuc in my fuge for now
Can I get an emerald crab???

You can get anything you want. Can you put it in the 29 right now, no. we are testing the waters here. A couple of snails no big deal. A cube of food no big deal. An emerald crab could hide in the rocks and you would not know if it were dead or alive.
