What to do with 29G

HOW FUNNY...I just dropped a few pieces of mysis in for my cbs....There were 3-4 nass snails on the glass...they literally jumped from the top to the sand when I put the food in....Just thought it was funny to see....LOL

OK..I am trying an experiment...I have one of those big white stroller nets (you know to keep bugs out of stroller)
I laid it across top of 29g...with the actinics..Absolutely no change in lighting
I just put the white lights on,. and I am going to run them for a little while to be sure I have NO heat issues.....
I do have pond netting on order, BUT if I can attach this netting to the eggcrate w/o interfering with light...I should be good to go with my jawfish..YIPPEE
ANY thoughts on this experiment???

Sounds good so long as light isn't diffused, heat isn't contained, and it keeps fish from jumping.
Hey, that is the final thing you need before you can get fish, isn't it?
Have you set a date for your order yet?

I'm probably placing an orderthis weekend, and gonna get the first fish

OK..Here are pics of my experiment...I want a jawfish...which I understand jumps...so I took netting and sewed it to my eggcrate...I have noticed no visible difference in light...
Please disregard sewing..LOL...I am no seamstress...AND you can not see any of this unless you stick your face (or camera) right up to it.
p.s. the last picture is a piece of Kenya tree I threw in last week...doing pretty good too...

Well alright then. I think you're correct, nothing will get out from that.
Just sayin, I still don't like eggcrate because I think it blocks too much light.

Yeah...I know...BUT I have nothing in there yet that requires a lot of light.
Pond netting is on the way, and now I can look for the proper materials to make a pond netting lid

This was just an experiment with stuff I had in the house....now I can order my jawfish

congrats, I went to lfs today, and picked up a pearly. They gave it to me for free. It had been in a tank with a wrasse and it looks like it picked on it. Im going to feed mysis soaked in vitachem to see if I can get its fin back in shape.

I just looked again on this site, and now the Pearly is out of stock...so my next fish is the Midas Blennie...and that is out of stock too

Well...I find this good news.....I was going to clean the glass this morning cause there was a film on front...but when I looked closer I saw loads and loads of white dots...you know those pesky little fleas looking things LOLOLOL...PODS everywhere
YAYYYYY...I am just surprised at the amount of them.....

Nice to seem some progress.
What you should have done is make the tank in to a tide pool. Where you have high, low,etc. That would be cool.
P.S when are the fish coming.
